Holy shit. He drowned?!

Rain Man 10-28-2023 06:35 PM

I have one less Friend in the world.

I liked that guy as an actor. I wonder what happened.

TMZ said he was found in a jacuzzi. How the hell does that happen?!

There's something odd about that.

Cardiac arrest?

Drug overdose?

I never watched Friends but he seemed like a good dude. RIP.

Drugs.

The news said that a heart attack was reported. I guess if you have a heart attack in a jacuzzi, drowning is a possibility.

I hate to say this because I liked the actor, but I wonder if alcohol or drugs were involved.

Probably similar to how Whitney Houston was found dead submerged in a bathtub.

He got to kiss Salma Hayek. He lived a good life.

Kman34 10-28-2023 06:47 PM

Sad news… RIP.. Prayers to his family…

phisherman 10-28-2023 06:47 PM

People drown in hot tubs all the time.

People die doing things that normal people do all the time. Kind of the nature of the beast.

MVChiefFan 10-28-2023 06:49 PM

Yeah, they said no foul play and no drugs or alcohol present at the scene. Doesn’t mean he didn’t take something somewhere else, or have a medical episode. It’s too bad. My favorite work of his is “Almost Heroes”! That movie makes me laugh out loud every time.

HonestChieffan 10-28-2023 06:49 PM

BWillie 10-28-2023 06:52 PM

100% drugs or suicide. So sad. He was by far the most likeable character on friends.

Red Dawg 10-28-2023 06:52 PM

Damn.

Megatron96 10-28-2023 06:52 PM

That sucks. Hope it wasn't drugs. I know he had some issues with drugs when he was younger, but I thought he'd been clean for years now.

RIP.

displacedinMN 10-28-2023 06:58 PM

He had a tough life. Drugs, depression, pain.

Because I not really a book reader-I am making it through his book. He has been through a lot.

My wife said-maybe his body just said enough.

Fair enough lets see what the toxicology report says, but we're both smart enough to see the obvious answer

I don't use hot tubs very often, but isn't there some natural risk if you have a heart issue that the heat will cause a problem? Or maybe if you have a pacemaker or something? I vaguely recall seeing some signage in the past.

What?

TribalElder 10-28-2023 07:57 PM

He recently published a memoir titled “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir.”

In it, Perry revealed that his colon ruptured as a result of his opioid addiction when he was 49.

Doctors gave him only a 2% chance of survival and he was in a coma for two weeks followed by months more in the hospital.

The actor required 14 surgeries to help repair all of the abdominal damage, and he admitted to having gone to rehab 15 times over the years in hopes of kicking his drug addiction.

If Prince can get taken out accidentally with fentanyl contaminated drugs, so can anyone.

Yeah, this news caused me to take a deep dive into hot tub related deaths. Apparently, you are correct. Staying in a hot tub longer than 15 minutes can cause cardiac issues, if there’s something already there.

Same thing happened to the wife of a guy I used to work for. She was an alcoholic, was drunk as hell, passed out in a jacuzzi and drowned. They were in the process of a divorce. Ended up saving him a fortune.

Briefly worked with him while dayplaying on some show awhile back in NYC. Nice enough guy, but could tell he had a lot of underlying anxiety. Dude loooooved his cigarettes. When he wasn't on camera, he was a friggin' chimney. Great comedic timing. 54 is definitely too young.
