Basically your computer on the brand new Coffee Lake chipset for $50 more. You are asking for new retail on 3+ year old tech.

I wouldnt even be asking $900 if you literally threw in all the peripherals. For the entire package I would probably sell it for anything in the $600-650 range.

It does suck though, all this stuff you spend a lot of money isn't worth jack shit after a couple years. I just dropped 1800 on a new computer in August and it's probably already cheaper than that.

Buy used. 6 mos - 1 yr. Someone is always selling one somewhere. Just don't look to buy one off CP... I hear they're overpriced.

That's why you build your own. You replace outdated components individually instead of having to toss the whole thing. You'll never have an obsolete computer again.

I was replacing a 6 year old PC, I had to get a new CPU which required a new motherboard, which required a new set of DDR4 ram, at that point I needed a new PSU because id rather protect it with a brand new one than a 6 year old one. Video card, and the cpu I got wouldn't run on windows 7 anymore so I got a new SSD. by the time it was all said and done it was easier to buy all new then replace anything.
