Mock (2/2)

I'm shocked this is the first mock in the Draft forum since Mr. Smith went to Washington.

Assumptions:

1. The Chiefs trade Allen Bailey for a 2018 4th and a 2019 conditional.

2. OLB Tamba Hali retires.

3. ILB Derrick Johnson re-does his contract to 2 years, $7m.

4. The Chiefs sign WR Albert Wilson 3 years, $12m ($4m guaranteed), C Zach Fulton 3 years, $13m ($6m guaranteed), CB Terrance Mitchell 2 years, $4m.

6. The Chiefs tender NT Rakeem Nunez-Roches.

7. The Chiefs sign RB Akeem Hunt, FB Anthony Sherman, DE Jarvis Jenkins, ILB Kevin Pierre-Louis, ILB Terrance Smith, CB Kenneth Acker to minimal deals.

8. The Chiefs let walk QB Tyler Bray, WR De'Anthony Thomas, OL Jordan Devey, NT Bennie Logan, ILB Ramik Wilson, CB Phillip Gaines, CB Keith Reaser, P Dustin Colquitt.

9. The Chiefs cut CB Darrelle Revis.

9. The Chiefs sign QB Chase Daniel (Saints) for 2 years, $5m, TE Virgil Green (Broncos) for 1 year, $2m, DT Sheldon Richardson (Seahawks) for 3 years, $32m ($20m guaranteed), DT Kyle Williams (Bills) for 2 years, $6m.

10. The Chiefs are picking 22nd, and have one compensatory pick (a 6th) for QB Nick Foles. They have three conditionals: a 6th for OT Isaiah Battle, a 7th for DE David King, and a 7th for CB Marcus Cooper.

The draft:

2. ILB Rashaan Evans, Alabama

3 (Smith). OLB Lorenzo Carter, Georgia

3. CB MJ Stewart, North Carolina

4 (Bailey). DL Nathan Shepherd, Fort Hays State

4. G Colby Gossett, Appalachian State
6 (Battle). QB Chase Litton, Marshall
6. P JK Scott, Alabama
6 (Foles). NT Du'Vonta Lampkin, Oklahoma
7 (Cooper). WR Quadree Henderson, Pittsburgh
7 (King). OLB Jaylon Ferguson, Louisiana Tech

Your contracts for Wilson, Fulton and Mitchell are way to ****ing low.

pugsnotdrugs19 02-02-2018 04:32 PM

No way they get that in a trade for Bailey. Personally, I don't see him being traded at all. But if he was, that's not a guy you give up a 4th round pick and a conditional for.

DaneMcCloud 02-02-2018 04:38 PM

They’re not trading Bailey and there’s not a ****ing chance in hell that Kyle Williams leaves Buffalo

raybec 4 02-02-2018 04:47 PM

Kyle ****ing Williams

raybec 4 02-02-2018 04:50 PM

Wouldn't it make more sense for Morse to be the backup center and Erving the reserve guard?

RunKC 02-03-2018 09:38 AM

This draft is stacked with quality TE’s. The Chiefs need to draft one in the mid rounds.

Chief Roundup 02-03-2018 11:07 AM

Not trading Bailey, several of those contracts are to low. DeAnthony is injured.
Where are you getting the 22cd pick?

DaneMcCloud 02-03-2018 12:46 PM

Veach will package up a few of those 6 and 7’s to move up

Like way low.

I've been screaming that Fulton, who has what started like 75% of Chiefs snaps over the past 4 years, is going to get a solid contract. He ****ing deserves it.

pugsnotdrugs19 02-03-2018 01:42 PM

Are we going to get all of those conditional picks? I'd forgotten about those. That might help us make some moves.

Trade a couple of them for a move up or another player in a Ragland type of situation.

Foles has won 5 straight games and is playing in the Super Bowl tomorrow. Could that mean a bump to a 3rd round pick, especially if he wins the game?

http://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2017/...hiefs-in-2018/

“Unless Carson Wentz suffers a serious injury, Chiefs fans should be prepared to see their projected 5th round comp pick for Nick Foles demoted to a 6th, as backup quarterbacks log few, if any, snaps.”

Obviously, Foles did play a huge role in getting the Eagles to a Super Bowl. This will be interesting to see how it unfolds.

Go Eagles!

That would be so bad ass.
