McGary was a beast in the VCU game, he was playing with a different level of energy than anyone on the floor. I haven't watched a lot of Michigan games this year, but they looked tough to beat. I'm hoping this is one of the better games this weekend.

can white boy shoot tho?

McGary doesn't have much range.
I like our front court infinitely more than theirs. |

Ku just needs to be ok instead of a bag of crap shooting from the outside and we stand a good chance but, we really must to play better than we did the first game and the first half of last game. Go KU
|
A study was done last year. Shooting percentages drop across the board (2 pt jumpers, 3's, Free throws) in domes. That could hurt Michigan more than KU.
Also a lot is made of how bad Michigan pounded VCU. As well they should have. They have the best point guard in teh country and the #3 rated transition finisher in the country beating a press. It doesn't translate to how they'll do against a good half court man D. Michigan is not going to shoot a crazy percentage against KU's D. It's going to come down to these things to me: 1)KU owning the defensive boards. 2)KU not making turnovers that result in runouts. 3)How effective KU is at defending Burke in the half court. Rumors are that Releford will be on him. 4)KU has to come out with energy from the start. I'm thinking like the Colorado game. Even if McLemore has another subpar game, I think if the above go KU's way no amount of 3 pointers or McGary putbacks will beat KU today. Edited to say, well, maybe not "no amount" of 3 pointers. How about an Iowa State level won't do it. |
Feels like one of those games where everyone gets all worried and starts praising Michigan over and over again.
Then KU just blows them out. |
I don't know how much you can take from Michigan over VCU.
VCU presses, but they don't play defense. Big difference. Michigan is still really good, but it's their guards vs. our post players. I think we basically let Burke go off for 30 and try to contain everyone else. |
