Cassel, Quinn and Stanzi
Any chance we keep any of them as backups? Just asking the question.......flame away...
Do you think Reid could coach any of them up? |
We save a bunch of money by cutting Cassel. His ass is gone.
Quinn only signed a one year deal. He's gone. Stanzi is under contract and will be kept through training camp. He's the only guy who has a chance to stick on the roster next year |
Here come the Stanzi lovers....
|
Pete is that you?

On Stanzi, who even knows. Noone's seen him play, except in practice. (I'm not holding out much hope though). |
Will be cut....wait is this the say three words thread?

The question isn't whether Reid will keep any of them, but why in hell would he (or anyone else, for that matter) want to keep any of them?
Personally, I think we get some combination of drafter QB / trade for a back-up like Flynn or Cousins (not saying those guys, specifically - but someone who has some playing time in the past) / get some FA scrub. Honestly, it won't surprise me if the QB position isn't resolved to the collective satisfaction of the fans this offseason. |
IMO, these 3 must be gone to rid the Pioli era just as much as himself. Even though Stanzi never played, at this point I don't care. Let's start over with all new QB's we DRAFT!
|
doubt it.
|
I hope Reid didn't come here to trade for other teams backups when you could easily just sign Jason Campbell or Matt Moore.
|
Then the midgets
|
I think the real question here is how do these three fit in Andy Reis' offense??

Cassel even if his contract was acceptable should be gone. Hes become too much of a fan cancer.
Quinn is what he is......nothing special. Not worth re-signing. Stanzi should be able to get a look in camp. Maybe Reid can coach him up? Maybe not...hes still not any sort of "answer" by any means. |

I'm an Iowa Hawkeyes Fan, and I for one think Stanzi should be cut, lets face it he lost out to Cassel and Quinn.

Of the 3, I could see Stanzi making to TC. The other two can DIAF

The ****ing dream job. Waste some dudes money and get paid handsomely to do it.

i think they are all gone

What is with people wanting to keep these guys for any reason. I wouldn't want one of them to be the water boy. Get rid of them all and start fresh. |
Would've been interesting to at least have seen Stanzi play at some point, but I doubt it would be any big loss if he was ejected along with the other two.

People defending Stanzi want to use the excuse that the coaching staff "didn't know a thing about QBs and didn't know how to develop them." Well, who drafted him? Yup. That same staff that "didn't know a thing about QBs." Let Reid, the "QB guru," wipe the slate clean. Draft a QB in the first, draft a QB in the mid rounds, and sign a FA vet. |
I'd assume Cassel has already put his house up for sale...
|
stanzi should wash the hot dog water smell off of him before meeting reid.....or maybe not
reid: "Ricky, look, we just don't see a place for y....[sniffs] mmmmm hot dogs....i'm hungry, want lunch?" |
There are midgets in Iowa?
|
Quinn is a free agent anyway so he won't be back. Cassel is due way too much money so he'll be cut. Stanzi should at least make it to camp since he's still under his rookie fifth round deal and doesn't cost much. There's no real incentive to cut him early

ROFL
I am fully convinced that 90% of this forum's members don't watch the games. |
No, no, no, annnnnnnnnnnnnnd NO.
|
Can't envision any scenario where any of the three are meaningful contributors next season. Just like this season.

It wouldn't hurt to see what stanzi has ,(with a good coach finally)

If I hit one of them in my car I would back up over them...other than that...no.

They don't watch other NFL teams. They have no idea how pathetic guys like Dexter McCluster and Jon Baldwin are compared to real NFL playmakers. |

1st round - Andrew Luck, QB 7th round - Chandler Harnish, QB 2012 Redskins draft: 1st round: Robert Griffin III, QB 4th round: Kirk Cousins, QB 2013 Chiefs QBs: Cassel (cut this mother****er already), Quinn (UFA), Stanzi (does he even have a Chiefs uniform?) The 2 best prospects to come along in a while didn't stop their teams from drafting a 2nd QB, but its impossible that the ****ing Chiefs with no QBs and no QBs in the draft close to a Luck or RG3 aren't going to even think about drafting a plan B. |

You strike such a compelling argument sir. How'd those teams do today? |

How'd the Chiefs do today? Oh thats right... THEY WEREN'T INVITED! |
Stanzi will probably be the only one left standing.

Just because the two best QB's to come out of the draft made it to the playoffs, does not mean the QB's they picked up 2nd in that draft made a difference. In Cousins' case, he did, but any backup QB could have done that as long as they weren't a Chiefs backup. Quote:

The reality of it is, the Colts and Redskins didn't have QB's to work with. Shanahan knew he had a good team this year and decided to draft a backup QB (LOL McNabb and Grossman) so he could make sure he got at least one of his picks right and good enough to lead this team to the playoffs. He did. Luck was a guarantee, and a 7th round QB isn't anything special to talk about. Perhaps the coaches really liked that 7th round QB? Or maybe they saw tremendous value there? Either way, citing 2012's draft is hardly a "source" to draw from for the argument that we'll draft 2 QB's when aside from the single #1 pick QB we select, half of our picks are going to linemen, and the other half secondary/wr. |

You act like the Chiefs have QBs to work with. Do you ever wonder why EVERYONE calls you a dumbass? |
**** Stanzi, marry Quinn, kill Cassel.
Oh, wait... Not the game here, never mind. |

Quinn and Stanzi are broke. You'd get a lot more in the divorce with Cassel. Kill Quinn and **** Stanzi (closest thing to a female). |

Can we line up all 3 in front of a firing squad?

Cassel is definately gone. Quinn probably gone. I can see Stanzi sticking around as a backup.
|
I don't even give a crap. If Stanzi is so awful he couldn't beat out the two idiots ahead of him when the reeruns running this team knew their jobs were on the line, then I don't care if he's here or not. I hoped he'd be alright but my give-a-shit meter is on empty. Screw him and screw half the rest of that horrible team. It wasn't all coaches and executives who caused the 2-14 season. Cut the rest of the shit and let's move forward with some guys who want to be champions and refuse to lose.

I want all 3 QBs gone!
Cassel: Cut Quinn: FA Stanzi: Cut and give the guy a haircut as well |

It is taking the Chiefs 29 years to get enough courage to draft a QB in round one. I am not betting they will draft a second one in the same season. It is just too scary. It would be like asking a pretty girl to go out. Way too big of a chance to get your feelings hurt.
