This is my favorite new network drama. (Masters of Sex holds the cable title) Finally NBC does something right.

Yeah, that scene was great. Red was blatantly, arrogantly full of inuendo, daring Tom to call him out. Tom on the other hand seemed so oblivious to it all, but that last look as Red walked away really kept the mystery going.

I can only imagine the cameras are either the husband's organization or Red.

I seriously doubt that they belong to Red - I don't think he'd sanction people surveilling his daughter in the bathroom.

he was in the credits, so not really a surprise at all for me.

so....correct me if I'm wrong....but was it not clearly revealed in the scene with Red and her stepfather that Red is indeed her father? my wife was thinking it was IMPLIED. I thought it was totally put out there....like crystal clear. yes?

frankotank 12-03-2013 12:19 PM

Alan Alda > Red

I was like....DANG! you his bitch yo!

Yes. He lied to Lizzy.

Many people took that away from the conversation, but Red only said to Lizzy's stepfather...and I paraphrase...You will always be Lizzy's father. Can imply that Red is her father or that Red knows/is connected to her father, but it will remain a secret.
After last night Alan Alda could be her father...who knows. Will be somewhat disappointed if Red is her father...too easy of an out.

Silock 12-03-2013 01:23 PM

I guess. But then that doesn't explain why he wants to protect Lizzy so badly.

I mean, they've been setting it up from Day 1 for him to be her father, and yes, that seems like an easy out, but they've offered no alternative explanation as of yet.

Mojo Jojo 12-03-2013 01:31 PM

My hope is that is the plan...making you want to understand what his connection to her is, and keep you guessing. With all the good twists they have had that just seems so obvious I think they are setting us up.

I think Red killed Lizzy's father or was his partner.
