As strange as it may seem the gun range is the last place you expect to be shot dead on purpose. You're way too focused on what's going on in your lane to worry about what the folks in the next lane are doing.

At the heart of it all, Kyle and Littlefield were killed while trying to help one of their fellow soldiers. That pretty much says it all to me.
