More uneccessary remake garbage.

This isn't a remake. It's an adaptation.

The first one was ok, obviously a little dated with bell bottoms and perms.
The second one was absolute garbage. I know it was supposed to be "Carrie part 2" but it was just terrible. Oh, and the chick they used was homely as all hell.

There was a TV Movie remake around 10 years ago or so? It was also pretty bad.

Wasn't the last one bad enough?

Just watched The Loved Ones. It's a "prom night horror" film. Like Psycho meets Carrie, meets Texas chainsaw massacre down-under. Anyways its got a 97% on rottentomatos, so if you like horror its a must see.

Yeah, it does. I feel like I just watched the entire movie just from seeing the trailer. Good God, there are people out there who haven't seen the original or read the book. :shake:

However, this does look interesting. I certainly prefer this Carrie to Sissie Spacek, who is ragingly unattractive.

Remake, reboot, adaptation. It's another Carrie movie. Didn't they already make a new Carrie about a decade ago?

Which in the book she is described as unattractive.

This looks ok, but basically by the numbers, sorta blah.......I'm sure anyone under 21 who's never seen the DePalma version will love it.

Chloe Moretz is already an amazing young actress. I'll watch this just because of her.

The ending of the original Carrie set a high bar for horror film "gotcha" moments. So much so, that in the years since, it's almost cliche NOT to have some last gasp gotcha moment that is unexpected (but expected).

I saw the preview for this the other day on TV and it looked like an exact remake of the Sissy Spacek version. Not sure what the point is except for better effects. :shrug:
