Short of being eliminated from the playoff race, no chance Reid benches Smith this season, IMHO. Can't bring myself to root for a loss in that case, though I don't really give a shit either way at this point.

You continue to play Alex so that you can trade him for something, unless he gets injured. If he gets benched on his own, his trade value goes way down.

It's as simple as that. They aren't winning the Superbowl this year, so do what's best for the franchise.

Smith won't get benched, so I'm pretty ambivalent about what happens for the rest of the season.

Should he be benched if we lose? Yes.

Will he benched if we lose? Probably not.

Will I be rooting for the Chiefs to go 6-10 if they continue to put Alex out there? **** yes I will be.
