**Sporting Kansas City / MLS Post Season 2015**

Because I know you guys love it. SKC capped the season with a nice win against Los Angelas on ESPN and now it is playoff time.

Sporting Kansas City vs Portland Timbers | Thursday 9pm CT

There are 3 major American soccer trophies and Kansas City already won one of them in the US Open Cup. NYRB won the Supporters Shield for having the best regular season...MLS Cup the biggest prize is left.

Postseason Situation - SKC was riding high but ran into a pretty bad slump for a while that coupled with the really close and really competitive Western Conference left them in 6th place. One off playoff game is against Portland and should they win they move into a two legged series with FC Dallas.

Sporting's seed obviously is not ideal but path their path to MLS Cup is. Sporting has had a really nice run against Portland and Dallas. The scarier teams (IMO) are on the other side of the bracket...LA...Seattle...and less so Vancouver.

The East part of the bracket is weaker but it is still pretty damn interesting. I see NYRB, Columbus, and Montreal as the real threats. Drogba has had a really nice run and brought MTL to life. New York won the Supporters Shield they have a really strong complete team and streaky scorers plus a good GK. Columbus has some big scoring threats but can be shaky on defense.

There is also Giovinco in Toronto. He is the MVP this year but the team around him isn't good enough IMO.

Glad we made the playoffs, but 6th wouldn't be good enough any other season. Really poor finish to the season. The team falling apart around August needs to be addressed.

There were some bad results there. They had good results against good teams but played poorly against bad teams so not sure what to make of it. The reality is the Ike Opara and Espinoza injuries hurt us...its really really hard to have awesome back ups with the salary restrictions in MLS and I think people under appreciated Espinoza and some of the things he brought to the table even though we have other really awesome midfielders.

Nobody ****ing under appreciated Espinoza.

Yeah missing Ike and Roger is horrible.

Honestly, we have enough going forward to put in some goals. If we can limit teams to, let's say one goal per game, we definitely have a shot. Say what you want about the backline of a few seasons ago, but in 2013, we leaked at least 1 goal in every playoff game bar the first leg in Houston. Tournament soccer particularity favors teams with firepower. Just finish chances.

This discussion could easily be accomplished using the PM function.

The team's ceiling is higher...if they really turn it on they are hard to beat. We will see though.

KC is a blue town. Deal with it.

Not sure about that. A lot of people felt his play was lackluster this year...not very flashy. But his play protecting a lot of other players on the field and the dip in results after he got hurt was pretty shocking.

So have you driven by Sporting Park while a game is going on and gone inside? How about a practice out at Swope Park? Ever stopped and watched? My guess is probably a big homophobic *#*!% No Way! So why in the world do you open this thread and decide to post your obviously gay paranoid incredibly tired crap?

Go read the scintillating stories about processed meat perhaps causing cancer, the Lions firing their coaches and all the Alex Smith threads that comprise your so called week of thread nirvana.

Oh and finally make sure you erase the gay porn from your browsing history. Homophobes sometimes forget to cover their tracks. Toodles!
