There's a calculated reason this comparison is being made. The NFL is trying to push Mahomes as a superstar.

Rogers may be a better QB, but he's never been the NFL superstar that Favre was. Favre was the type of guy you put on primetime as often as possible because he was money with drawing eyes to the TV. Even if his team was 4-8 at the time.

Brett Favre is the most over rated qb of all time. He's what Mahomes floor is.
