I'm not a football mind, so take this with a cup of salt. It seems that it's harder to find 3-4 personnel. Also, Sutton runs a 3-4, and F Sutton in the ear - I'll take 4-3 just because he doesn't use it.

One pet peeve I have is when a coach comes in to a team and they have to overhaul the roster because he's "a 3-4 coach." Wouldn't it be easier to find a scheme that fits the personnel instead of trying to find new players? Are coaches really that inflexible and incapable of deviating from their comfort zone?

No, I don't. It was big when I was a kid, but I never saw it. I haven't really had the urge to watch it as an adult.
