Have you ever cried over a sporting event?

Just curious. I never knew anyone even considered it until I found this board and several of you said you do. (Not passing judgment at all, I just have honestly never heard of it).

The only time I can recall getting emotional over a sporting event was January 1996, we all know what I'm referring to. I walked out my parents basement and was yelling outside and throwing stuff for probably 20 min. Then I realized "Nobody can hear me and my ears are now frozen". Sports are, as Don Fortune once said, the Toy Department of life.

Anyway: do you cry over sports? Well punk: do ya?

Yes, yes I have.

Be specific. I want to pass judgment on whether it was worthy.

You realize who you are talking to, right?

How much heartbreak we share between the Chiefs, Royals, KU,& K-State.... So many tears..

I am sure I did when I was a kid.

When we lost to the colts in the kicker who shall not be named's famous game, I remember being angry and not sad

You probably will if Michael Sam ever plays in the NFL.

No tears. I've thought about breaking things before, though.

Only three times.

I don't think tears have actually fallen but I've been sick to my stomach and in a bad mood for a week

Not since I was 9. Maybe getting angry is just as pathetic as crying, but I can't imagine having tears over a game I'm not playing or coaching in. There are better things to cry over.

I teared up a little after the Royals won against the A's to win their first playoff game in 29 years.

I was crying inside after the 2010 playoff game. Something inside me died.

You weren't alone.

I haven't actually cried that I can remember, but there were two instances where I was incredibly depressed: the Lin Elliott game, and when the NFL decided to give Elway a Super Bowl win.
