***Official Ravens @ Steelers Division Championship Game Thread***

Okay, this game definitely deserves a thread. With Miami's win yesterday, they have basically locked up a wild card spot. The BAL-PIT game is essentially win or go home. I know most on here, including myself, do not want Pittsburgh in the playoffs, so until 7 tonight, we're all Ravens fans!

Baltimore always has Pittsburgh's number it seems, and Harbaugh is a far better coach than Tomlin.

Ravens 23
Steelers 21

Baltimore takes control and wins the division next week to send Pittsburgh right out of the playoffs.

Sandy Vagina 12-25-2016 11:23 AM

clear this up, please.. I read here somewhere that if PIT wins, this locks the Chiefs into a playoff spot.

yes? no?

True.

But I'd rather Baltimore win and knock PIT out, and we clinch tonight with a win anyway.

From my understanding, KC should either be the #2 (win out and Raiders losing) or #5 seed. That would be contingent on Miami losing to NE next week and or KC winning one of their last two.

There is a good chance that Pitt will play NE...in NE. If they win, Steelers come to Arrowhead for the AFCC...or KC plays two back-up QBs on the road with Houston and Oakland.

I think Pittsburgh has a better shot at beating NE than the Ravens. I would rather face Tomlin in a rematch than Belichick.

Either way, KC has a sweet path to the AFCC game....do NOT want the 6th seed.

We are Steeler fans tonight...

NJChiefsFan 12-25-2016 11:41 AM

Today's game isn't win or go home. The only way pit misses the playoffs is if we lose to Denver.

With a loss to Baltimore, Pittsburgh can't pass Miami. They would need us to lose out to pass KC.

You are right. I even looked at that yesterday myself to see if Miami wins the tie breaker lol. I was blanking today that Oakland would be a wild card if we took the 2 seed.

True, but KC either wants the #2 or #5 seed.

#6 means on the road to Pittsburgh... then on the road to NE. That's BEFORE the AFCC game...yikes.

Easy 6 12-25-2016 11:57 AM

Baltimores offense is seriously outmatched by Pittsburghs, and they're on the road to boot

I dont like the Ravens chances at all

pugsnotdrugs19 12-25-2016 11:57 AM

We want Baltimore to win without a doubt.

Yeah, a Ravens loss gets us in the playoffs, but so does a Chiefs win. If we can't win one of these last 2 games, we don't belong in the playoffs.

KChiefs1 12-25-2016 12:08 PM

Today's game is essentially a playoff game.

Win & you're in.

Baltimore win:
1. Pats
2. Chiefs
3. Ravens
4. Texans
5. Raiders
6. Dolphins

Miami @ Baltimore
Oakland @ Houston

Theres no way Pitt goes to NE as the 3 seed unless its for the AFCCG.
Pit can make it as a WC, but that scenario has the Chiefs loosing out and missing the playoffs.

Basically Pitt as the 3 seed (after beating the 6 seed in the WC) would go to the 2 seed Oakland/KC, and NE would get the lowest seeded winner from the WC round which wont be Pitt

Just noticed that. Goodell can suck a bag of dicks.

Hog's Gone Fishin 12-25-2016 01:20 PM

I'm hoping for a Steeler win but late in the 4th qtr. Bell and Rothlesgurger both break their Fibulas. This would make our path much better.

Historically when I see a player or fan wearing pink gear that team loses

Therefore, superstition would say Steelers will lose today

Completely agree with this. I'm more afraid of the Pittsburgh at Heinz Field than any team in the AFC. Sure Pats at Gillette is as tough, but that's a guarantee trip as it seems now.

Tombstone RJ 12-25-2016 02:50 PM

It annoys the **** out of me they are branding this game Thursday night football

You can't have Thursday night football on a Sunday

It's not possible

**** off nfl network

Faulk, McGinest & Irvin all pick Baltimore.

Congrats Steelers!

I'm furious about it, did they take away games this late in the year last year?

Not even gonna bother watching a stream, if I cant watch a big game like this on a big screen... dont wanna watch it at all

They were pimping it as a first

First time they had an exclusive late season game on NFL network

The whole Sunday night football on a Thursday and Thursday night football on a Sunday is just dumb

Think BALT is supposed to have a top run defense.. so watching Pitt run through them does cause a shudder in imagining Bell running through KC's....

KChiefs1 12-25-2016 03:51 PM

Can't beat TD's with FG's.

Stupid sack by Flacco

EPodolak 12-25-2016 04:08 PM

Flacco isn't much of a moving target. Easy sack there.

Reerun_KC 12-25-2016 04:09 PM

And then nothing...

displacedinMN 12-25-2016 04:09 PM

Muffed FG

Reerun_KC 12-25-2016 04:11 PM

I'm pulling for the Steelers in this game just so the Chiefs can clinch, but if we meet them in the playoffs, Bell may run for 200 on us.

You have a chance to clinch, you take it.

I dont care who we play, to be the best you have to beat the best.

If we can't clinch on our own then it doesn't matter anyway.

Pittsburgh and Dallas are the probably the worse matchups in the NFL for us

especially with Houston broken again

the other hand you're saying we need to step up

Pretty much this.

People thought Murray was going to run all over us and Latavius was going to run all over us. Our team plays to the level of the opponent which is maddening on offense, but has turned out pretty good on defense.

displacedinMN 12-25-2016 04:19 PM

Steelers have not looked good the past coulple weeks. I think people(me included)are afraid of what the Steelers can be when they are on. Won't be an issue if they keep ****ing around and lose this game

RunKC 12-25-2016 04:50 PM

I'm not really scared of playing the Steelers as long as it's at home and Houston is healthy

stumppy 12-25-2016 04:51 PM

Looking at Pitts stats on offense you'd think it was the Chiefs playing. 132 yards total on offense for the first half.

EPodolak 12-25-2016 04:53 PM

I'm nervous because the Chiefs are nerve-wracking and the Steelers can run effectively.
