Anvil? Little town just down the road from Kvatch and Skingrad, on the coast?

Nice enough place. Pity what happened to their temple. Big mess. Very sad.

I am becoming fascinated by the misadventures and bad luck this band has suffered over the years. They shoulda been big... but it all went wrong. Seems now, however, things will turn for them in the twilight.

Who?

I've seen a lot of buzz about the film. I'll check it out when it comes out on DVD.

Watch the trailer. These guys could've been big, but everything bad that could've happened, did. Their album "Metal on Metal" is considered by some to be one of the greatest metal albums of the early 80's. They toured with the best bands in the world... but...

This is the real life "Spinal Tap".

I mean seriously, the drummer's name is Robb Reiner. Wtf.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this. The reviews have been fantastic.

No one at all knowledgeable in metal music thinks that.

That said, pretty much everything Anvil ever put out is above average to good in quality.

I just listened to some of their stuff on Rhapsody- ehh. Pretty generic 80's metal fare. Nuthin to write home about IMO.

Well, there are metal fans, and metal snobs, I suppose.

A Miller Light's fine for one guy, while others can't live without Fat Pirate Raspberry Tire Chocolate Ale.

Same thing.

Miller Light is ****ing terrible. Meanwhile, a craft beer as complex sounding as the made-up one you mentioned is probably awesome.

I'm not just speaking in metaphor, either. I'm a music "snob" and a beer "snob."

In the words of CM Punk, that makes me better than you. :D
