im ****ing pissed off
At the Royals
|
Why? We are tied 2-2 in the WS. I'm thrilled with them
|
If this game holds up, the series is brand new. 2/3 are in KC
but I'm not pleased with this game tonight. |
Go home, dingleberry. You're drunk.
|
We wasted so many opportunities against a shitty pitcher
|
I used to be emotionally tied to Kansas City sports. Then I grew up. If they win then cool, if they lose... Its expected.
|
Meh
|
Yep. **** it.
Monumental collapse, but in the end, its just the one game. Brand new series, its a race to two wins and two of the next three games are at the K. On the bright side, we'll get to celebrate the World Championship with the KC fans, instead of the SF douche crowd. Bar tab likely to exceed 16k this time around. |
Giants are monster in post season just look at 10 and 12.. they are a completely different team if they make the post season. They are like the New York giants of football. I knew this would be a tough series.
|
and then you wake up tomorrow and alex smith is your QB
|
Hope we've got balls of steel at home, because we ain't beating Bumgarner tomorrow.

I should have ate a zman sammich today too
Sorry folks! |
This is the Royals in a nutshell dude. They lose games They shouldn't and they win when it's unexpected. You can't base the WS on what they did in the playoffs. You just can't do it because it's a totally different type of game. Playing by NL rules, starting pitching kinda sucking right now. Shit like that happens. Even if they get back to KC down 3-2, expect them to go 3-3 and make it an epic game 7.
It's just the way they are. **** man, they weren't supposed to even be here. I know we want that ****ing ring. Shit happens. Let's just chill out and see if Shields can calm the hell down tomorrow and they can do what they do. |

Shit happens. |
This was a money move by the league to make more and money...
|
Tonight does not concern me too much. It would have been nice to go up 3-1 but the Giants hitters were in an absolute zone tonight. Games like this happen sometimes. Can't explain it but this series is far from over. We got abused in Game 1 and came out and won the next two. We can beat Bumgarner, he is not invincible.

Your team is 2-2 with every chance to win a world championship. This is the very definition of the end game for a sports fan. To be in the thick of contention at the end of the season with every hope of winning, and pride in your team even if they should lose. Now it is a best of 3 series. Sports doesn't get any better than this! |

I'm absolutely amazed we are here. And I'm excited to see the conclusion win or lose |
I'm pissed too.

When Prison Bitch is the shining ray of optimism something is very very out of whack
|
Aye. The wee bastard is listening to me.
We never expected this team to make it further than the angels yet here they are. Calm down. We would've been just ****ing smitten knowing we had the series tied at two apiece going into game five a week ago. Let's just chill out and let Shields show MLB what kinda contract he's playing for. He's going to come out throwing some nasty shit tomorrow. Guaranteed. |

It's all good. For some reason I have a feeling Shields is pitching a gem tomorrow and the Royals win. He's too good to not show up once. He's better away from the K.

We will win Tonight. :)
|
That was a painful one to be at tonight. Sitting there and getting shit from the fans was hard. That being said it means it comes back to kc and I'll be coming back to see six and seven and my first visit back to kc in over 20 years

Just got back from the store here in LA. Everyone was rooting for the Royals. Was crazy how much love this team was getting everywhere I went...

Royals ****ing blow, how did we even get this far?
|
Ok, now people should be pissed. That was one of the most cowardly performances I've ever witnessed by a ball club. So afraid, so meek and pathetic.

GG Bum + Giants. See you Tuesday at the K.
|
A team good enough to make it to the WS won a 3 game series at home. Shocking. We've bested this team at least 2 in a row twice this year. This is a winnable series.

Really can't be pissed about a team that overachieved and lucked it's way into a world series.
|
I feel so sorry for those folks who packed P&L tonight. 0 runs from that scared team
|
I'm pissed about the double switch, but it didn't really matter.
Tip of the cap to the Giants. Can't wait for Tueday night. |

Yeah, I'm really pissed that a team that won the Wild Card has won 10 of 13 postseason games and is in the World Series for the first time in 29 years.
 Is this forum a magnet for the ****ing dumbest people in the free world? |
Hard to read some of these posts without cringing. Two games left to prove they're better than the Giants. And we know it's true, so stop sulking.
|
Not even mad. We still have a chance to win the World Series.
This is a great run indeed. Giants and Royals fans are the only two teams that have this opportunity. We have an opportunity still to win it all. |

I don't see the Detroit Tigers or the Baltimore Orioles competing in the World Series.
This makes me happy. |

Win 8 postseason games in a row with two sweeps--I don't see how a team lucks into that. |

People make it sound like we got no shot. Truth is Saturday we got out coached, yesterday we got out played. The beauty of it is we don't have to worry about Bum gardener no more and 2 games in our house.
Sunday was a respectable loss. Saturday I was sick about. |

Putting things in perspective, this playoff run was absolutely nothing to feel bad about and was the best thing that happened in KC sports for decades.
They can still win the WS, too, though it won't be easy. But I'd rather play the last two games at home than on the road. |
You don't luck your way to two sweeps of the best teams in the American League. Plain and simple. There is no argument there. "Luck" your way to 1-2 wins, maybe. But not all those games. Baseball is about being hot at the right time. We WERE the better team in both those series. You cannot argue that. PERIOD.

If he does start, I'll be happy to face a tired pitcher we made some decent contact with at the K. |
8 out of the last 10 teams down 3-2 came back at home to win the title. And if you told me we had the chance to do that against two average pitchers I'd give you a hug and say thanks. We got this.
|
Most of you guys know baseball better than me. I just rediscovered the Royals in July but I have a question about our strategy vs playing the Ace pitchers.
Seems to me we could have rolled out Randy Johnson vs Bumgardner and still not had a chance of winning. Why not just throw those games and save your ace for another day? Shields pitched his ass off last night and yet we had no shot. Seems like a wast to me. No? |

The Taveras news pretty much killed my ability to get upset about anything Royals last night. I hope to have my vitriol back by game 6.

This is such ****ing bullshit
