Who has taken the plunge to windows 8 upgrade for 39.99?

actually i jumped on a upgrade special for 14.99 a few weeks ago.

haven't installed it yet though, thought i would give it more time for bug removal.

I have it ready to go on a bootable USB though

Mine does not qualify for 14.99... I wish is was a full version .. I like the bootable usb installs much quicker

I don't either. 2002 maybe... 2012 not so much

When it comes to an SSD dive, the Intel makes the best. They are the top maker of the NAND chips used in these drives, but they keep the best chips for their own drives and sell the rest off. Furthermore, they have the best firmware for the sandforce controller used in the majority of these drives.

Spend a little extra and go with an Intel 330 or 520 series.

This is correct. The transfer rates on ssds are so ridiculous that RAID is unnoticeable on desktop systems. If you were building a SAN, yes, otherwise it is additional headache for little/no gain.

If you aren't in a hurry, watch Ben's Bargains. NewEgg, Tiger Direct, and the other big players post deals there on a regular basis.

Oh, I tried Norton Ghost and 3 or 4 other disk copy software and I could never get it to copy properly. :(

So you just did a fresh install? It's for the best.

And yeah, you're a dork for using the stickers.
