That's what I was hoping for as well. I am sure Cooper will do fine under Gunn's direction and it will give the movie a bit of oomph at the box office with his name attached.

Now the question is will Vin Diesel actually be voicing Groot or was it all a clever ruse and he will actually be playing Thanos? I haven't read anything lately but the filmmakers were being very coy about Diesel's involvement at one point.

This was my thought as well. I was into comics, and I remember these having a cult following at best.

You're right, they confirmed Diesel as Groot right before Christmas. I was out of the loop on Guardians news. The movie definitely has a shitload of quality names attached to it.
