Tips on how to Speed, I wanna go fast.
I'm going to start going to Mayetta KS (just north of Topeka) once a week or so for some stuff. The highways there are pretty desolate, and going 90mph instead of 74 mph could lower my commute by almost a half an hour.
Any tips or scanners to use to avoid or locate the police using radar? With todays technologies & up to the minute information is it possible to significantly lower your risk of getting a ticket? I usually drive like an old man, and whenever I do speed I get nailed. But then I see these people going 20 mph faster than me that never seem to get any tickets. Wondering if there is a trick I'm missing out on |

Leave home 30 minutes earlier and not speed?

1. Anywhere east of Hays is NOT desolate.
2. Don't do it. You'll get the butt****ing. |
Study headlights and watch your rear view just as much. Floor it when you can see for forever.

Buy this
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...pL._SX466_.jpg It's a courtesy notification for a ticket if they are using the laser, but it will let you know if they are using radar or if there are cops moving on the road around you (rolling radar sets it off). Learn where the cops sit usually. They have their "berry patches" were they will normally sit because they can write a lot of tickets without having to move much. If you're not concerned with breaking laws, look into laser shifters and the proper way to use them. |

I bought what I thought was a decent detector a while back, but it was far more annoying than helpful with all the false alarms.
I pay close attention, but am also pretty lucky that I haven't had a ticket in years. |

Laser/Radar detectors have a hard time picking them up due to their instant on and narrow beam width. The only thing that can beat the laser is a laser shifter which are illegal in almost every state. If you're smart with them, then you can use them (I don't own a shifter system) and not get caught. Lasers do have draw backs for law enforcement though. The angle that they have to use them is much smaller than radar (pretty much straight on and there has to be a certain distance). They also can't use them anytime it's raining or foggy (any precipitation in the air). |
The Escort Passport is the best IMO. Nothing beats instant on though. Your fuel mileage is going to be half or close to it running 90 MPH.
