The roast of Shatner was classic.

I really didn't think James Franco had that long of a career to be roasted I know he was in Spiderman series as Harry but more than that I don't know much he has done.

The Situation was a great roaster. Shocked he's not on the list.

I wonder how many vagina jokes are going be told about Lisa Lampanelli?

Franco has been in Tons of movies and TV shows. He has 12 movies or shows he's working on or signed on too.

The roast of Roseanne was okay.



Best roast was on Flava Flav. Forgot the comedian who told it though.

Liked the Flava Flav the best. Bob Saget was pretty good too.

The Saget roast was awesome because Norm McDonald was ****ing hilarious

Norm's set was awful. He's usually hilarious.

Well shit so much for getting to watch the roast they just put Comedy Central on restriction content.

I'm going have to call my cable provider and find out if I can get that lifted.

Andy Dick grabbing Pam Anderson's tits to shoot lasers at the moon was memorable.

Pams roast was great.

Jeffery ross needs a 4 hour roast uncensored.

He took a risk and picked up steam as he went along. Not as good as Norm's, but I enjoyed it. To me, Ross is getting worse each roast...though the 'Wreck it, Ralph' line was great.

He reversed the roast, but didn't pull it off all that well, but for me he gets a pass just for being there, to allow the Lorne Michaels' funeral sad acoustic dick in a box joke from someone else that nearly slayed me.

My favorite thing about James Franco is that clearly all his friends think he is just really strange. Strange people are way more interesting than everyone else.

I do think comedy roasts stick too much to physical attributes and gayness, funny for a while, but gets thin pretty quick. They had some good career jokes on each other here and there too.

Sure I did. I got that he was unfunny.

Very funny. Everyone on set loved it.

Laughed way more than I expected.

Liked how Jonah went with faux-praising bits instead of setup-punchline jokey jokes.

Thought Hader was the best of the night, don't think I stopped laughing from the '99 Cops' line about 'I dropped the rape kit, deborky-squorky' ROFL until the end of his set.

Building up a head of steam was the perfect description of Samberg's set. Early on, I was like 'Oh, poor guy doing a B-list Norm McDonald' but when he got emotional about all the sex things James did to him, he was selling it big time.

Even Natasha got a couple of the better crafted jokes on the night, the Lorne Michaels' funeral = dick in a box, and 'if I wanted an unfunny Indian to yell at me, I'd read a magazine in 7-11.'

I laughed the most overall during Samberg's part, but I'm a ****ing goofball so it doesn't surprise me that others didn't find him funny.

Nope. You just didn't get it. That's okay. Don't worry. You're fine.

I liked Samberg too. Even if deconstructing typical roast jokes is kind of old hat at this point, I still enjoyed having someone break up the rhythm a little bit and come at things at a slightly different angle.

I didn't think anyone had a particularly weak performance, actually. I'm not really familiar with Nick Kroll or Natasha Leggero but they had some great jokes.

Which make it even more funny that Norm was brave enough to attempt it. So many people didn't get it. My God, I thought it was hilarious.

I don't get it either, it used to be "legends"... now its Franco.

Next he is going be on Spikes movie awards & recieve the "Life Time Achievement" award.

I almost expected Jonah Hill and Franco to switch seats halfway through. Hill was taking way more shots than Franco was.

Didn't realize Franco had reached a point in his career where he's worthy of Roasting? How do they determine such things?

They throw a million names out there and only one or two say they'll be up for it. I'm surprised they got Franco, when you're talking about the level of celebrity from Roseanne Barr nowadays to Franco... that's a pretty big gap lol.

He's actually way more accomplished than most of the people who get roasted. Pamela Anderson? Flavor Flav? Larry the Cable Guy? Hasselhoff? Trump? All easy targets, but not exactly "worthy roasting" the way Friar's Club roastees would be.

Yeah lol. Pretty funny. Some of those people got off really really easy. I guess there really isn't a WHOLE lot to make fun of with Hader and that one chick. Jonah Hill looked like he was having the time of his ****in life though haha.

That he is. However, I kinda like him a little. At least he acknowledges and embraces his douchiness. Plus he's done some things I like. 127 Hours was pretty good. I liked him in Pineapple Express. I also sorta admire how he wants to do/try everything life has to offer. He did a stint on General Hospital as a project for gods sake. At the height of his popularity at that. That's kind of cool.

He's a talented dude who has no problem making fun of himself. Not sure what's not to like.

A pure lack of talent would be a good start.

I know, I haven't indulged in all of his fine works. Perhaps you could convince me of his vast talents with a few examples. Maybe some that would justify his estimated net worth of $20,000,000.

Have you seen him in Spring Breakers? His presence definitely became more apparent. I think it is his undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of his previous works.

Ross is the best roaster I have ever heard. He is on fire from beginning to end on every roast I see him on.

The best roast moment was when Gilbert Gottfried broke into The Aristocrats.

Totally agree, i really enjoyed that and its his best work imo.

But then he'll turn around and mail one in like Planet of the Apes, man, he was just terrible in that, i didn't buy him as a scientist for one second.

I dont get why people think franco is a douche. Eccentric maybe. But he looks like he would be a blast to party with even if he weren't a celeb.

My reading of it isn't so much that he's a douche, its just that he isn't deserving of the accolades and attention he gets.

He's a decent, not great, actor... this whole James Dean lookalike thing has been his golden ticket.

I died laughing watching the Franco roast when Aziz was talking about homophobia and said something like...
