Sanchez's hilarous fumble

This is funny enough that it shouldn't be lost in the game thread. I've never seen anything like this happen in an NFL game.

http://cdn1.sbnation.com/uploads/cho...dard_709.0.gif

In case you missed it, the fumble was run in for a TD. And on the ensuing kickoff, the returner fumbled, which was run in for another one. It was truly a spectacular display of ineptitude. The Chiefs would be proud.

The way Sanchize buries his head into the field at the end of the gif is absolutely perfect.

Beyond hilarious. In all seriousness it might be the single worst play I've e er seen from an nfl qb.

Tebow is losing this game from the sidelines. He's that terrible.

This is pretty bad, too. And I'll note that Elway also did it in a game.

TinyEvel 11-22-2012 10:07 PM

I haven't seen running into the back of your own lineman and going down like that since Larry Johnson!

Runs into his own teammate. How does that even happen?

This was one game during which he definitely wasn't eating a hotdog over on the bench.

It's easy to make that call now.

If the Chiefs had drafted him, I would not regret it.

At least they tried.

i remember the score being 7-0, then i went outside real quick to talk to my neighbor, came back inside, shit was 28-0. I told my bro in law, wtf happened it was 7-0 5 min ago lol

tk13 11-22-2012 11:52 PM

You think the Chiefs are messed up. Supposedly Tebow has broken ribs and can't even throw the ball with his left hand, it was just reported on ESPN.

The kicker to that... the Jets deactivated their third string guy tonight. If Sanchez got hurt or pulled, they literally didn't have another QB who could throw the ball.

Sure-Oz 11-23-2012 12:00 AM

Made no sense why Tebow was active. he didnt play

same exact dilemma. young guy with question marks, most likely sucks, but is clearly better than the two guys ahead of him, never plays or suits up, and you have to wonder why.

It's exactly like Dick Stanzi

Sub 50 percent passers have no place in this league. That's beyond full Cassel. He's been Tebow without the mobility and "clutch*" play this year

When I saw this I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt like he slipped or didn't see the OLman's butt or something like that. Nope. He just flat out ran into him like the dimbass he is. It's the most hilarious thing I've seen on the field that I can remember. I can't ever remember laughing that hard at a play in my years of football. It was awesome.

wazu 11-23-2012 11:20 AM

Was there any post game presser on this? Don't know why, but want to hear what Sanchez had to say afterwards.

Chiefs Pantalones 11-23-2012 11:22 AM

Have y'all noticed though that this type of thing happens to all the shitty QBs? Like Cassel with his hat thing, Tebow looking the wrong way, etc.

TinyEvel 11-23-2012 11:27 AM

Looks like he was trying to Dirty Sanchez himself.

Sanchez forgot the play he just called and opened the wrong way to hand off to Lex Hilliard. With no one to hand off to, Sanchez tucked the ball and ran … into guard Brandon Moore’s backside. He lost the ball and Patriots safety Steve Gregory scooped it up and ran 32 yards for a touchdown.

“I’m not a big believer in luck, but that was pretty unlucky,” Sanchez said. “It was really too bad.”

"I was just trying to get down, the play was over, just say uncle and do the right thing. And go back, second-and-10, and fight another down and then the thing came out, so you just have to take care of the ball."
