This is funny enough that it shouldn't be lost in the game thread. I've never seen anything like this happen in an NFL game.

In case you missed it, the fumble was run in for a TD. And on the ensuing kickoff, the returner fumbled, which was run in for another one. It was truly a spectacular display of ineptitude. The Chiefs would be proud.

The kicker to that... the Jets deactivated their third string guy tonight. If Sanchez got hurt or pulled, they literally didn't have another QB who could throw the ball.

For the past several years I've coached flag football for my sons. Teams that included Kindergarteners and 1st graders. And this is the worst play I have ever seen.

When I saw this I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt like he slipped or didn't see the OLman's butt or something like that. Nope. He just flat out ran into him like the dimbass he is. It's the most hilarious thing I've seen on the field that I can remember. I can't ever remember laughing that hard at a play in my years of football. It was awesome.

Sanchez forgot the play he just called and opened the wrong way to hand off to Lex Hilliard. With no one to hand off to, Sanchez tucked the ball and ran … into guard Brandon Moore’s backside. He lost the ball and Patriots safety Steve Gregory scooped it up and ran 32 yards for a touchdown.

“I’m not a big believer in luck, but that was pretty unlucky,” Sanchez said. “It was really too bad.”
