No. It's not hard to see a good cut, whether that's in college or the pros. And that's backed by an outstanding 3-cone time at the combine.

He gets caught from behind by guys who have 40 pounds on him every game.

You're talking about getting caught from behind by a linebacker. Yes, it happens. Your suggestion that this happens regularly with him when he runs decisively is complete BS. McCluster has very good open field speed.

He may be able to cut but he has mediocre burst out of the cut without breakaway speed.

McCluster is no Jamaal Charles

No he doesn't. If he did, he would make a lot more plays over 10 yards.

10 yards is a big play for this jagoff.

MeatRock 04-06-2013 10:36 PM

McCluster damn near ran a 4.6 at the combine. He is not fast.

Because he's small and low to the ground, he doesn't have to lose speed on a cut, which makes it more fluid and harder to defend against. He doesn't have the kind of burst Priest Holmes had, but he has tremendous acceleration to break away.

Have we seen this enough in the NFL? No. He seems to tiptoe too much and sometimes doesn't make the cut or hit the lane you'd like to see him hit. IN other cases, he pulls that stupid spin move that doesn't fool anybody. And in other cases, he just isn't given space because of a poorly designed offense.

So you're going to back Clay on this reeruned idea that mcCluster is constantly getting tracked down by LBs on a breakaway. That's what you're claiming.

I'm not an idiot. I'm arguing against ridiculous exaggeration.

No one with a speed score as poor as McCluster's ever had a noteworthy NFL career. The best was Aaron Stecker.

You're making this too complicated.

It doesn't matter if you think he's fast or quick or good at handjobs or flipping burgers or whatever.

The simple fact: he doesn't make plays. He doesn't contribute to winning football. Even in 2010, when we were winning, other than that San Diego game he wasn't adding much to our team.

When he gets the ball, 9 times outta 10...no one gives a shit.

Wes Welker has two inches and 20 pounds on McCluster.

Do you know what "Speed score" means, dumbass?

No, I'm not.

You're oversimplifying by saying he's 100% garbage.

I've acknowledged that he's played like garbage. I'm not going to sit here and listen to exaggeration about what he is, though.

He has about as much value to a good football team as Mike Cloud. If he was replaced by some jagoff we wouldn't lose anything.
