Probably Fitz. Basically because it seems to be commonly speculated that Fitz will play today. Not to mention, I am real conservative with rookies like Marlon Brown who have started out their first season huge. I usually prefer them to have at least 5-6 consistently productive games before I feel 100% comfortable starting them... that's just me though.

rico 09-22-2013 09:21 AM

But then again, there are articles such as this one:

Fantasy Football Week 3 Dark Horse Sleeper: Marlon Brown

Marlon Brown has been surprising people since the Baltimore Ravens brought him in as an undrafted free agent this summer. Brown, a tall receiver who has the body type to be a No. 1 outside receiver, played well in preseason and now finds himself in the right place at the right time to have his breakout NFL game. And the time is right for him to land on your fantasy football radar. The Ravens are seriously thin at receiver. They traded Anquan Boldin this offseason to shed salary, then lost Jacoby Jones to teammate-on-teammate violence in the first week of the season. Brown will be the beneficiary of the suddenly wide-open Baltimore receiver depth chart. A guy who was no stranger to the big play when he was at the University of Georgia — he averaged over 17 yards per reception and scored four touchdowns on just 27 catches his final college season — Brown is a threat to score every time he gets his hands on the ball. Many times in fantasy football value comes down to opportunity just as much as it comes does to talent. You can have all the ability in the world, but if you don’t get on the field often enough it doesn’t matter. That means a guy like Brown, who is going to get snaps early and often against the Houston Texans this week, will get every opportunity to make plays and put up points for your fantasy team. If you’re looking for a dark-horse sleeper, especially in a deep league, grab Brown off your waiver wire and reap the rewards of being ahead of the curve on this guy.

Luck will have time to go deep to Hilton against the SF pass rush and 2ndary ???

I am rarily a fan of starting 2 from the same team but against the Cowboys even in their own house who piss all over their cleats repeatedly week in and week out who are take it to the house type players Daryl/Tavon if I were in your shoes I have no problem starting these guys at least today.

I assure you Jeff Fisher has given the green light to his O-coord today because he has no choice. Should be an interesting game to watch.

I get this writer's take BUT Balt is a run first offense who is 0-2 just coming off losing in Buff going against a salty Houston D and 2ndary. Rice/Jones are out not to mention all the leadership lost from the year before that is taking a toll and Flacco's leadership so far is resulting in losses. The only saving grace is that they are at home and Harbs is the coach. Will Flacco have time to find Brown today ? He might but I see a slow melt down for Balt this season in the long run.

CaliforniaChief 09-22-2013 09:41 AM

I do think Baltimore is going to fall off. I just wonder if they'll have an emotional burst today. I think I'm sticking with Fitz, but that might change.

Stay with Fitz. It's all poker with his injury.:hmmm: Nobody can cover Fitz and now that he has a legit QB throwing to him that has that chemistry already going he is automatic every week because Palmer is a very good quiet FF QB and Arians knows how to exploit what he has.

lewdog 09-22-2013 10:22 AM

I'm sticking with Fitz too but he looked definitely hurt in last weeks game and did nothing. Hope he's a bit more healed than that.

Remember when Fitz used to be perceived as this immortal, indestructible, unstoppable, Demigod-like wide receiver? I think I had that on my mind when I drafted him relatively early...well, that and the thought that he finally has a relatively decent QB to get the ball to him opposed to the absolute goombahs he has had these past couple years with Skelton and Kolb. Not trying to say that Fitz isn't the cat's pajamas...just seems that he has kind of dwindled a bit, or at least at a quicker pace than I personally expected.

Yea he's getting up there and I definitely won't draft him again. It's amazing what he's done with absolute shit QB play. I was sure even a guy like Carson could connect with him tons, but they've been way off base and fitz just looks slow with that hammy issue.

Eifert

Both QBs are athletic but Kaep who is more athletic with a little bit better arm going against a very weak Colts D IMO you start him. Since you have both these QBs I wouldn't think about starting Wilson UNTIL Harvin comes back and even then Kaep will still probably equal if not beat Wilson in total pts week in and week out. But at least you don't have to worry about getting beat by Wilson;)

I'm glad I ended up starting Wilson. Kaep laid an egg today.

Since many of you are more KC based, this may not apply, but I picked the Chiefs D back up and plugged them into my defensive slot where they will remain, at least until they play the Broncos.

Sometimes one is afraid that you are being a homer.. don't be! Pick up the Chiefs D if it is available in your league. The Giants game which looked so bad, suddenly isn't so bad. In fact, Giants are giving up the most points to defenses right now.

Goddamned fantasy football.

I've got Jamaal Charles then it's:

Daryl Richardson, David Wilson, Jacquizz Rodgers.

Yeah, I agree. And then with Trent gone as well, I felt even better about it. They had zero points in my league around half-time but fought their way back up to 10 points by the end.

Henceforth, I have KC bolted in until we play Denver or they have several bad games in a row.

We all know projections on major sites can be completely useless, but I liked this swing. KC Defense was projected for 2.68 against NYG. I assume this is the projection done at the beginning of the year. Now, the projections have been updated and KC is projected to get 13.82 points this weekend in our league's scoring.

Nice swing.

Pick three - Cruz, Thompkins, Golden Tate, Witten.

Right now I got the first three starting.

The Franchise 09-25-2013 10:53 AM

Le'Veon Bell vs. Vikings
Jared Cook vs. 49ers
Kenbrell Thompkins vs. Falcons
Nate Washington vs. Jets
Daniel Thomas vs. Saints

Cave - trading Hopkins for Pierce.

Do you start Pierce over Jacquizz?

Pierce isn't splitting at all this week with Rice hurt.

DaKCMan AP 09-25-2013 12:41 PM

Start 2 of 3 WRs:

Anquan Boldin @ St. Louis
Kenbrell Thompkins @ Atlanta
Josh Gordon vs. Cincinnati

Right now leaning toward Boldin & Gordon

Thig Lyfe 09-25-2013 01:04 PM

Randall Cobb is on bye. Start 2:

Bowe vs NYG
Tavon Austin vs SF
Nate Washington vs NYJ
Sidney Rice vs HOU

Bell

Moreno/Ridley is a toss-up and Richardson is banged up and going against SF, but he's now probable, Thursdays are good for RBs, and SF D has been torched by RBs this year.

Richardson definitely intrigues me. I guess I didn't realize SF was 28th against the run. That's absurd.

I also like DR's ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Yeah, D-Rich's schedule is brutal. One reason I didn't pick him up. he still has to play SF again, Seattle twice, Chicago, and Houston.

His schedule during the fantasy playoffs is pretty sweet if you still trust him then. ( Arizona again, New Orleans, and Tampa Bay ).

Luckily didn't play Austin.

Probably gonna play Washington to neutralize some of Jake Locker's points (the guy I'm playing has Aaron Rodgers on bye).

So now I'm still struggling between Bowe, who I hope just for KC's sake gets it going this week, and Rice, who had a big week and could help me compound Russell Wilson's points.

I would roll with Rice until Smith and Bowe decide to start gelling.

the Talking Can 09-27-2013 08:56 AM

choose a flex:

Antonio Brown vs Vikings (my lean)
MJD vs Colts (people seem to think he can poach a td against bad run defense)

or

sit Fitzgerald for Brown (Fitz is facing revis and tampa defense) and then start MJD at flex

(not a fan of this option, but putting it out there)

The Franchise 09-27-2013 09:21 AM

Start Fitz and Brown.

sedated 09-27-2013 12:49 PM

I'm sitting Fitz (for Edelman). Revis has destroyed WRs this year, and Fitz may still have a lingering hammy issue.

Of course, that means he will go off for 100 and 2 TDs.
