What portion of your TV/video watching is "live"?
 

I was watching the news today, and I realized that I almost never actually watch "live" TV anymore. Almost everything I watch is either recorded on a DVR, on Netflix, on Vudu, etc.

So...am I weird?

I don't use VHS anymore.

I don't know about weird, but I would imagine that your viewing habits are abnormal.

Unless it is sports, I don't watch it live.

This is one where it'd be nice to be able to crosstab poll questions. I suspect that I'm abnormal for ChiefsPlanet, but normal for those younger than me. I have nieces who essentially watch nothing but YouTube, Hulu, and Netflix.

Recently, I've found that my DVR'ing of just about everything has made me completely oblivious to new movies coming out. I just never see the commercials.

I rarely watch anything live except sporting events. And while I may be abnormal, it isn't because of my viewing habits

My 20% is due almost entirely to live sports

I guess we probably watch maybe 20-30% "live" TV. I never really thought about it, but I think the only reasons we watch live tv is that we either have too many things in DVR at the time, or we are not watching anything in particular and are just channel surfing.

Now that I think of it, sports are the only thing that I don't watch live (if I can help it).

I'm usually on the road. I torrent everything.

20% would be watching things that are just on, not planed. Call it non productive TV.
