I think most people who have read the books should stay away from questions like this. They could inadvertently give something up.

Even though I'd watched all the seasons before I read the books. The books provided so much more detail about the characters. Some "stuff" happens in the books that doesn't happen in the show.
Very sound advice, much as i don't want to bug my librarian its starting to sound like i need to if i really want to understand this show... i've gotten used to tv shows that require actual attention to keep up over the last ten years.

But this one takes the cake, miss 30 seconds and you've missed the whole thing... even the players guide explains nothing.

I've read the books now. I rewatched the first season. Picked up a lot of detail that I didn't see the first time.

Do not google the upcoming season. There are some really good things a coming this season or at least in the books. Don't spoil it for ya.

When does this show start picking up? Im on the 5th episode of season 1 now and it's kinda dull. I dont wanna invest more time into this show if it's just going to continue to put me to sleep. I'm hoping this is just the build up and some awesome shit is going to start happening soon.

Stick with it. There is a lot to develop in the beginning of the first season. It is worth it.
