This guy is either a monumental mouth breather, or a CPer working under an alias stirring the pot for his own amusement.

Actually, he's a mouth breather either way.

I assume you've taken a motorcycle safety course?

I read somewhere that when you're doing 65, you're traveling at something like 80' per second....

don't forget about mechanical faliures, tire blow outs, road debris and other things that are beyond a riders' control.

This douchenozzle cannot possibly be serious.

Can he? :shake:

I respect your right to not wear a helmet or gear; but you should respect others' right when they call you a friggin' moron for not wearing one/any.

Seriously though; hope you stay safe/as safe as you can etc. I hate hearing about bike crashes.

That was the one knock on the vacation we took out there last year (Yosemite/Tahoe area) - the drivers were just awful. Proactively rude. Deliberately difficult. Good luck trying to merge, ever. Perhaps one driver in 20 would let you in. It's like they would anticipate my changing lanes and deliberately speed up/slow down. I've driven in Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Chicago, and all points in between, and I've never seen anything like it.

Next time I go out there, I'm renting an Abrams.

Yea it's pretty bad. The Chinese will ****ing kill you here. Far and away the most deadly drivers on the road. The San Mateo highlands had a chinese driver go to hit his brakes and he accidentally hit his gas ran over a boat load of kids awhile back. These guys seem like they are never charged either.

Cell phones are another huge problem here, I never thought I would say this but I am so glad we are implimenting hands free legislation at the first of next month.

Enjoy the ticket.

It has nothing to do with it. It has to do with the fact that some guys on this board like me have wives and children they love. When some yahoo says that a "pig" busted them for going 100 mph on city streets it makes them realize how endangered the family is. No, most families aren't out at 2am, but some moms and dads that work the night shift could be out on the road and easily get into a wreck with someone doing 100mph. that is why there are speed limits. The "pig" you mentioned might be the first one there when you do have a wreck, your inability to recognize that shows immaturity. If it weren't for a "pig", I might have died in a hit and run with a drunk. If you are that good and that adrenaline pumped, then join the racing circuit or the circus. But, by all means, let the rest of us have safe roads to drive on.

wow what a pussy. seriously this guy should be voted chiefsplanet blowhard of the year

I am actually well aware of my surroundings unlike some riders.

I hear Brandon was also a very alert and defensive driver... and he was smart enough to even wear a helmet.

UGH so not true.

And I do sometimes wear gear and a helmet but I can do without them as well.

And to the who "Two kinds of motorcyclists" crap whatever.

My uncle has been riding for nearly 30 years and he has NEVER been in an accident. So there goes that theory.

Understood; good for your uncle.
I'm just saying that's a lot to leave to chance. If I'm going to check out, I don't want it to be in a parking lot going 15mph and smacking my skull against the curb.

Just be careful man.
