The Aggrolites. Really great old school reggae sound. Saw them play a couple of months ago at a small show in front of 60 people. It was a great show.

You're welcome Mr Nzoner. I dig their swampy rootsy sound. Can't describe it. Kinda like Creedenace Clearwater meets Tom Petty???

That's where I saw them as well. Pretty ballsy sound.

Then you'll love Vedera's next CD due out late February 2008. I've heard most of the songs and I'm really excited about it. They are even better than Weight of an Empy Room...and thats pretty hard to beat.

Not "new", but stuff I've been listening to a lot lately:

Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah
The Arcade Fire
Band of Horses

Got another one...

Sieges Even

I just got their new release Paramount...wow.

Haven't heard other albums but I hear The Art of Navigating By The Stars is very good.

EDIT: It is good, but pick up Paramount first. It is very, very good.

Ryan Shaw. He's being heralded as his generation's Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, and/or Jackie Wilson.
