Hope Pickett beats him out as the starter.

Pickett is absolute trash so Wilson found a spot where he will be the starter.

Denver going to pay for Russell Wilson to make the playoffs with Pittsburgh.

They will compete with a QB such as Russ at that price.

Not sure how well understood this is, but as long Russ has a job in the NFL, Denver has to pay out his full salary. So Russ is actually motivated to sign for absolute league minimum, as he make $30M or whatever and the vast majority of that is paid for by the Broncos.

Does that relate to length of contract?
