This place in Rome, Italy... AWESOME!!!
|
Chicago style - Talayna's in CWE
NY Style - Italian Beef at Racanelli's in The Loop Greasy Style - Shakespeare's in Columbia Risking all rep, I still have a soft spot for the cheese Godfather's used to use, something uniquely awesome about it's chew factor. Ran across a Godfather's in S.IL a few years back and they still had the goods cheese-wise. I hold no pretensions that their product is on par with my picks above overall, but that cheese is like crack to me. |
Honestly, Minsky's. (the one on Fece road) It's pretty damned great.
That said, I've been to Chicago on business, and the food was great, but we never got pizza. :shake: LMAO I seem to have a filter problem. That would "Berry", but with an "A". |

They've got a place here in town called Pizza World that reminds me almost to the letter of one of my favorite places in Seattle called Round Table Pizza. The Appendanza is pretty ****ing good. |

I also really like Pizza Shoppe. It's not world class pizza, but it's pretty damn good. Another thing that isn't really great but I still miss it... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/phDAyOf6j1A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I truly miss Pizza Shoppe. Love their Pizza!
Minsky's was damn fine too. And for those old enough to remember......the "old" (and I do mean "old") Red-roof pizza huts in the 80's had really good pizza (before they went all pre-processed dough and ingredients) For the record: I ate at multiple Pizza joints in NY.......and I dont get all the hub-bub about NY pizza at all. If you've ate at Sbarro's, you've basically had NY pizza. |
