The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

1 Attachment(s)
Coming out sometime in 2014. Is/will be the cover story for today's new Game Informer. They're saying they're going for more of an open world game (no loading screens at all) with branching free-form progression instead of the chapter by chapter story progression of the earlier games (I'm sure lots of people are excited to hear that, but I'm not a fan of open world games, so I have mixed feelings at best...). They say the game world will be 30 times the size of The Witcher 2's and roughly 20% larger than Skyrim. It will be the final game in the series, as well.

I have 2 but never played it past the prologue, so I guess I'll have to get going on that sometime in the next year.

Yes :) you should do that.
You have it on PC or 360?

PC.

I can't remember why I didn't play it more than I did. I didn't like something, but I have no idea what that was. I did the same thing with the first Witcher game though. Bought it early on, didn't play it for a long time, eventually did.

I did the same thing -- I ended up picking it back up after a few updates/patches had come out. Turned out to be one of the best adult RPGs I've ever played.. Some fantastic storytelling and your choices have a HUGE impact on the game. Also one of the best looking games

ROFL

i think i have 2 sitting around somewhere too.

I think i got to some kind of force field or something blocking a room at the very beginning and stopped. No idea why.

It's because the prologue sucks. I did the same thing (twice..)
I actually just finished the game last week though, finally.

Ya, I agree.
Loved it. They did some patching that improved stability and performance, which was huge. I think that hurt it at launch.

Anyway, ton of fun. I like that its not an easy game to play.
Once you get past the prologue, it picks up rapidly.

Looking forward towards TW3.

Day 1 purchase without a doubt. Loved Witcher and Witcher 2 was even better due to the satisfying combat mechanics.

Bump. AngryJoe interviews Witcher devs. He's such a fanboy ROFL but this was awesome. I love how this company is so down to earth. They essentially say that this is the end of the line for the Witcher series and that they aren't trying to milk it because all great stories come to an end (coughcoughdragonage).

hometeam 06-28-2014 08:10 AM

ill just throw this out there, right now Witcher 3 is bringing 20-22 bucks for pre0order via key traders on r/steamgameswap - due to extremely low Russian price. Because CDPR is a NO DRM company, the 'Russian' version is no different than the US version.
