I think splitting it into three games did effect the single player, there was only really enough plot for about 8 missions, the rest was mostly filler. And yeah, video game writing as a whole is not good, but I felt much of the writing in the game was poor even by those standards.

I do wonder how Heart of the Swarm is going to handle things considering how the game ended. I'm not sure if it will it be concurrent with the Terran campaign or a "sequel."

Spoiler!

I still can't believe they are splitting this into 3 separate games. At $60 a pop at that.

Yeah, that is just ****ing ludicrous. Also, when the **** did PC games start costing $60?

I can't blame Blizz for splitting one game into 3 and getting 3 times as much profit as they would have gotten by putting everything in one box. If there's demand, might as well take the opportunity. I, for one, am not buying that shit.

They started costing $60 when Activision made that the price for Modern Warfare 2. But I believe they said that the two expansions won't be full priced games. They'll probably be $40.

Yeah, who am I kidding. Bobby Kotick is probably already planning to charge $70 and implement a premium subscription model.

Activiosn can go **** their collective asses as far as I'm concerned. They took the evil empire title away from EA. I'm looking forward to see what Respawn comes up with. EA now has 2 best FPS studios (with Dice and former IW poeple). The Call of Duty IP will only carry Activision for one more release or so.

If any of you like to watch high level Starcraft II games between top pros, there are a bunch of those guys involved in a French tournament called Iron Squid and the videos can be found here:

http://www.ironsquid.tv/show/

There are 12 Koreans, 7 Europeans and 1 American involved. The Koreans are kicking ass as usual.
