This. I grew up on Sesame Street and was really bored with Mr. Rogers. I recognize the contribution of the man, but I didn't like the show. Or Captain Kangaroo for that matter. For me it was Sesame Street and The Electric Company.

It was NOT a study, it was an ill-conceived comment from a Finance professor at LA State. (That's why I put the word study in quotes in my original post.)

He has since retracted his statement:

Mr. Rogers was the best person I "knew" growing up. Also the only person, including family members, I have ever cried about when I heard he died.
