The fastest I ever ran was a clocked 4.59 40. That was 20 years and 30 lbs ago.

Hootie, you are the biggest idiot ive ever heard. Seriously. You come on here and call everyuone a liar because some say they ran a sub 4.7 40 in high school. You continually mak references to having no "black people" on the team, and stating that without "black people" on the team, there is no way anyone could be that fast. Hate to bust your bubble, but there are literally thousands upon thousands of white highschool athletes that can run a sub 4.6 40 on an electronic timer. Many run track, many play football, some soccer, and some are just plain fast as shit kids. I ran a 4.67 in high school my junior year at 5'9 and 167lbs, and that was almost 30 years ago. We did have a few "black people" on the team, and one of them was faster than I was, the others were not. How would you feel if everyone said 80mph pitching was so badass that there was simply no way you did that? Well, that is basically what you are doing. For once in your pathetic, shallow, sheltered life, try treating others as you would like to be treated. That means, not being called a liar. BTW, I was not a member of the 1000 club.

My official 40 time my senior year was 4.65. However, it was hand timed and my coach even mentioned that he may have been a bit slow to start it. I guarantee I was probably close to (or even over) 5 if it had been computer timed.

It was. It was just the good ol boy network. About 5 years later a new principal came in and fired that coach. They brought in my cousin who was the D-Cordinator at Park Hill South to take the job. He turned the program around and modernized it as far as the weight room and summer 7 on 7 camps go, as well as the schemes. I think in his first 3 years they went to a state semi and state quarterfinal, but eventually the honey moon ended and he met resistance at trying to bring to St. Joe what the big KC schools do... too much work and complaints by lazy kids and parents. He didn't get his contract renewed and they haven't sniffed the playoffs since.

went to school with a guy that ran a 3;53;32 mile. My cousins were both blazers. Got one now that goes sub 4.6 @ 240. kid is a beast.

Kerberos 03-03-2011 08:50 AM

1984 I was clocked by two different coaches on the same run at 4.63 and 4.64 and I was a 225lbs

high school football coaches gave out 4.5's like candy at my school...there were some 4.4's, too

and we had no black people...

and no one was running faster than a 4.7, 4.75 tops

Why would your coaches do that?
It's stupid.
Do they not know how to read a stopwatch?
I ran a 4.78 my Junior year at WR, and a 4.65 my Senior year at QB.
Those were my BEST times.

WoW. You were probably a monster at DL or something.

I weighed 175-180lbs, when I ran in the 4.6es

This. TONS of kids who can run 4.6s. It's when you start hitting sub 4.55s that you're watching anything remotely special.

raybec 4 03-03-2011 09:00 AM

I ran a 3.9 in combat boots while throwing a 90mph fastball at Hootie with my left hand.

keg in kc 03-03-2011 09:00 AM

I think I could run a 4.25 forty. Wait, that should have read 4:25.
