Last Year At This Time

Mayock had the following QB rankings:

1) Luck
2) RG3
3) Tannehill
4) Weeden
5) Foles
6) Osweiler
7) Cousins
8) Lindley
9) Wilson

We know they went Luck, RGIII, Tannehill, Weeden, Osweiler, Wilson, Foles, Cousins, Lindley.

The biggest difference, is obviously Wilson who the majority of experts were laughing at Seattle for reaching on all of their early picks.

I would be interested to see his assessment of this year's class in print. However, his page on NFL.com doesn't have anything after AUGUST.

I wanted to cry when Russell Wilson got taken...I sat there watching the draft saying "I hope the Chiefs take Wilson here." They didn't, and he went one pick later.

I always respect Mayock's opinion (more so than most analysts), but I never got his love for Blaine Gabbert at all. He was the one helping drive that train.

Between a written Mayock ranking and the draft grades already out on nfl.com I think you'll have a pretty accurate view of the "real" player rankings and where they will fall. This year's wildcard that NOBODY is talking about is probably Bray.

I know Mayock has talked about his top 5 on the air, I'm just too lazy to go back and watch it again so that I can draw a comparison. :)

NFL.com has Bray 2nd, right?

Bray 2nd and Dysert 3rd which is the real head scratcher.

You and me both. This year I will be crying when we don't get Colby Cameron for a steal. He will be a late round pick, if not UDFA, but whoever winds up with him will have one heck of an accurate QB. That is something we really need in Reid's system. In other words, I would like to see the Chiefs get both Geno and Colby this year.

Dysert is really underrated IMO; that guy had absolutely NOTHING to play with yet he still did fairly well. He was breaking Ruthlessrapers records at Miami at Ohio with possibly the worst supporting cast in the nation.

I've been talking about bray as possible number 1 overall the whole time.

The thing about Dysert is that he is a tough QB prospect to figure out. He is what we call a gamer. Like in for example you put him in a one on one situation and he looks meh to bad but you add eleven guys on the field and all of a sudden he looks much better. It is sorta odd but he performs better when he can feel the defense. So Dysert could go anywhere from the 2nd to the 4th round imo.

I don't have a clue what you're getting at but it's funny nonetheless.
