Bears - Akiem Hicks
Falcons - Grady Garrett

Can't believe the Bears had to cut Hicks. He was so good even a couple of years ago.

Did the Falcons really cut him?

I'd be really surprised if the Falcons cut Grady Jarret because there would be teams lining up to sign him.

Yeah, I'd think that would be one you coudl trade vs release.

Absolutely. Prisco just released his Top 100 players and Jarret was #47.

The Falcons may suck but they're not so stupid as to release a great player who is only 28 years old and the anchor of their defensive line.

Cutting him would save them $13M against the cap this year and move $7M in dead cap to next year. It's not inconceivable.

Yeah, I know. He's falling off a cliff. It's just crazy to see because he was easily one of the best in the game just a couple of years ago.

Possibly, but unlike Julio Jones, I think there would be teams lining up to trade for Jarret, who just turned 28 in in late April.

He's got at least 2 more seasons of high level play so it's much easier to take on that contract and extend him than it would be for a 32 year old Julio Jones.
