Update at 12:30 p.m. ET. More On Shots Fired At Others:

The Times now writes that "two women who were shot by Los Angeles police in Torrance early Thursday during a massive manhunt for an ex-LAPD officer were delivering newspapers, sources said. The women, shot in the 19500 block of Redbeam Avenue, were taken to area hospitals, Torrance police Lt. Devin Chase said." It appears they were in a blue pickup — a vehicle that generally matches the description of what the suspect is thought to be driving.

Headline: "Man calls LAPD corrupt, incompetent, racists. LAPD responds by shooting 2 innocent Asians and a couple of women."

:doh!:

So this guy night have legitimate claims of corruption, but it's going to get washed out on the basis of cover-ups, questions of insanity and become a facet of the gun control debate (remember folks, only SWAT teams and military are armed in the UK).

I'm beginning to think conspiracy nutbags are on to sonething. There are seriously wrong things going on and it seems like "Someone" stands to benefit from it..

Congrats to this guy for getting the entire state on a manhunt for him, pretty impressive.

"Tebow, I really wanted to see you take charge of an offense again and the game. You are not a good QB by todays standards, but you are a great football player who knows how to lead a team and WIN. You will be "Tebowing" when you reach your next team. I have faith in you. Get out of that circus they call the Jets and away from the reality TV star, Rex Ryan, and Mark Rapist Sanchez."

Ah, well. It was probably time. I was stationed at the 42nd Street base.

Women delivering newspaper in torrence shot in manhunt for ex-cop.
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lano...omen-shot.html

The ex-cop is said to be driving a blue Nissan Titan, so the cops shot the living shit out of a blue Toyota Tacoma and the two ladies in it who were delivering newspapers.

Yes, there are a great deal of very concerning things said in that manifesto. The man may have been unhinged, but he's naming a LOT of names and giving a LOT of detail.

Crazy doesn't do verifiable names and details. Crazy tends to operate in nebulous truisms and 'protect people' who would have otherwise vindicated Crazy.

There's no question that the LAPD is rife with problems - is it really outside the realm that this guy is telling the truth? Or at least some very close approximation of same?

I'd be awfully leery of calling this guy a career nutcase just yet. He's very clearly lost it, but seemingly sane people have been driven to heinous shit when they feel they've been grievously wronged. This man clearly believes exactly that.

When I read that part of the manifesto about a fellow officer kicking someone this video immediately came to mind:
