Supposedly the new trailer has something in it for Avengers 4?

banecat 05-01-2018 11:10 AM

The first one was really good. This one looks like it can be a lot better

It's gonna take hulk getting over his slump, Captain marvel, and AM and/or the Wasp in the quantum realm to win the war?

Probably so.

Now that he's got the entire gauntlet, it's gonna take a bit of everything.

It was explained to me that the guantlet sustained sever damage, and does with every use of it, but the stones are what's important with this entire issue?

Possibly, but I wonder if he had or they have another one made?

I recall seeing at least one in one or more of the movies, but I need to go back and look. Maybe Thanos goes after another one. And maybe this next time when the hulk makes his play another result is the case. Another thing that I've been told by a marvel comic book fan is that Thanos doesn't want any part of hulk in a prolonged fight. Which is why he tried to dispatch him with quickness in AIW1

Think the post credit scene will be before or after Infity War?

Wondering if it will be...

Spoiler!

Direckshun 07-05-2018 01:58 AM

According to reviews, there's a mid-credits scene that's consequential, and a post-credits scene that is not worth sticking around for.

KC_Lee 07-05-2018 09:24 AM

Superbly made, fun flick. Marvel can do no wrong in my book.

I liked the first one, thought this one was even better.

KC_Lee 07-05-2018 09:29 PM

Fun movie. A well needed lighter Marvel movie post Infinity War. Better than the first I thought.

Incredible movie. I enjoyed it more than Infinity War. Lots of action, laughter and heart with no preaching. Exactly what a flick should be like.

Take notes, DC and Star Wars.

I have no spoilers but I'm hearing bad things from 3 different people.

Great CGI and action scenes, good acting, horrible comedy.

That's not good. Actually, that's kind of the exact opposite of what I'd expect after Paul Rudd #1.

I thought that all of it was great. The action scenes were great, IMO. There’s a good mix of comedy, multiple story lines and special effects. I think anyone that follows the MCU will like this movie.

Honestly. About an 8

It’s very well done. Comedy is how highly subjective of course, but I laughed a lot.

keg in kc 07-07-2018 11:50 AM

It was okay. Probably have enjoyed it more if I hadn't seen Deadpool 2, which was better in every conceivable way.

This!

Well done. Way better than the first movie, a rarity. The comedy was well blended into the movie. It wasn’t a super hero movie with comedy relief. This movie is a must see.

Gravedigger 07-07-2018 09:17 PM

It was good the only thing I didn't like was the villain. They could've done much more for her, the setup was good, but the execution at the end was underwhelming. For having the past that she did she should've been more dominating. Other than that I really liked it, on par with Guardians 2 or Spiderman Homecoming, a very entertaining film with some minor gripes.

Those movies are great, but I can’t compare them to anything MCU.

They are basically parodies of the superhero genre.

Ant man is meant to be serious with some light hearted humor sprinkled in.

I thought it was funny and enjoyed it more than the first one. Evangeline Lilly I felt was the lead more than Rudd too. It was a fun movie.

I didn't think Ant Man was great. That was my point.

I guess it's like every great white hope wide receiver in Chiefs history. It's meh at best but somebody's going to do their best to convince me it's awesome. Marc Boerigter in movie form.

It wasn't bad there just wasn't anything to it aside from visuals. Basic plot, flat jokes, no emotional stakes, nothing. It's not some palate cleanser post-Avengers, it's just the lamest Marvel movie from the last several years. I'd put it about on par with Thor 2 or Iron Man 3. It's a disappointment to me after Black Panther and Ragnarok.

But it's not bad, per se. Just not especially good.

Solid flick. I liked the first one better but it's hard for sequels to top originals. (Same went for "Deadpool 2".) As for the post-credits scene, we all assume that has something to do with "Infinity War 2" in terms of how they get out of the hole they've dug by killing half the population, and it's a good assumption given that IMDB lists three of the "Ant Man" cast as being in the next film.

O.city 07-11-2018 09:21 AM

Gonna take my little one to see it tonight. We both loved the first one. Hopefully this one holds up.

Man your friends just might be no fun. I don't see how you come out of the movie saying a lot of bad stuff about it. Not saying it was the greatest or anything, but it was an enjoyable movie, good action, good acting and characters, and enough humor to keep it light. I wouldn't let a few sour pusses keep you from it, if you like Marvel movies in general, you will very likely enjoy this one as well. And it ends with a bang in the mid-credit scene.

DaFace 07-12-2018 04:58 PM

Saw it yesterday. Thought it was great. Ant Man is a much needed palette cleanser after the darkness of a lot of the other MCU movies recently (credits scene notwithstanding).

Good enough for me. Ant Man isn't one I paid for at the theater anyway. I'll be watching it on the Roku whenever it's available for rent...

MarkDavis'Haircut 07-13-2018 09:22 AM

I consider it superior to Infinity War. Well, I enjoyed it more than Infinity War.

Valiant 07-14-2018 12:31 PM

wow some harsh people. It is a solid marvel movie, and better as usual than most of DC movies.

Good movie. Im gradually falling in love with the actress who played Ghost. First saw her in an episode of Black Mirror and was mesmerized...and most recently in Ready Player One prior to A&W.

Something about her eyes...

bowener 07-16-2018 10:19 AM

Like the first, this was a very fun and light-hearted film. I really hope Marvel aims for more "small" disaster films and not the" Save the world for the 5th time" destruction porn. Spider-Man should have a similar scope to this film.

My only gripe... how the **** does he afford that house in SF?

O.city 07-18-2018 10:18 AM

Saw it last night. Really enjoyed it. Thought they did a fine job of playing the storyline along.

I'm intrigued at whats going to happen with the post credits scene though.

banecat 07-18-2018 11:12 AM

Finally saw it last night. I liked it. Not as much as the first one, or God of Hammers 3 for that matter as they're all comedies. Bring on the captain, the other captain

Direckshun 11-19-2018 01:11 AM

Wooooooowwwwwwwwwww was this movie a piece of shit.

I won't even bother going on and on and on about it. The jokes fell flat, the acting of absolutely everybody's other than Lily whatshername (and the "three wombats") was atrocious, and I don't think I've seen worse acting in a Marvel film than Michael Douglas here.

Spoiler!

That movie was AS BAD as Iron Man 2. What a ****ing stupid movie.

Each to their own... The woman that played The Ghost is on the SciFi series Killjoys; they put her in some fairly skimpy outfits to help with viewership. I preferred Dark Matters however that was cancelled.

I am disappointed that I didn't see the final scene coming... What in the world did his wife do for 30 years in the quantum realm? I know it's all made up however shrinking the distance between molecules doesn't eliminate mass.

A bit like a few scenes in Deadpool where he simply states that's Lazy Writing, there are plenty of those to be found in this movie... or any other Super Hero movie.
