The wife and I saw it last week. It was really good. Depressing as ****, though.

Hard to believe Gaga had never acted before. She was amazing. Blew everybody off the screen, including Cooper. Won't be surprised at all if she wins an Oscar.

I'm 0 for 2 on Stanley Kubrick movies. Watched Shining for the first time today and I thought it was a really bad movie. Didn't like FMJ, but this movie was a lot worse.

Watching those old classics you’ve got to change your mindset going in.

It’s just a whole new world. Movies have changed so much. If Jaws, Halloween or, shit, even Alien were released today they would be absolutely shit on by audiences.

I don't think it's just the difference in time for this movie though. There are just a bunch of problems with the plot, character development, and acting. I think a lot more people would talk about the movies short comings of the names Kubrick and Jack nicholson weren't attached to it.
