He's a shade under 6'2" and doesn't have long arms. He's not a defensive end by any stretch in any system.

And the Senior Bowl always favors the defensive linemen - in the one on ones and the game itself. Add to that, he's coming out of a small school. His adjustment period to the NFL is going to be a long, slow, steep climb unless he's a prodigy level guy like Jared Allen.

I think you're making too big of a deal for his arm length. Sylvester Williams is a first round 3-4 DE prospect and his arm length is the same. Same for Everette Dawkins and he's a 2nd/3rd round pick.

Even Dontari Poe has shorter arm length and many thought he would be a 3-4 DE like Haloti Ngata.

I agree with the small school comparison though. You don't think he'd be a good developmental prospect in the late 3rd or 4th round?

Allen wasn't a prodigy. He was a D1 recruit that couldn't control himself.

Off the field troubles led to him going to a small school.
