4th and 48
That was the highlight for today on my 4th visit to Arrowhead's hallowed grounds.
Up 14-7 with Oakland hanging around and looking at breaking midfield, this awesome defense moved these clowns back to the shadow of their own goalline. The joke in the stands was that the Raiders didn't even PUNT and make the first down. Great day all around with the win and the record!!! Now, I'm en route back to Colorado and ready to get prepped for the visit to Pile High! Way to go, KC! |
I really wanted them to get the sack on third down
|
I was laughing my lips off on 3rd and 48. Our defense scored as many points as their offense, and weren't too far off in yards.
|
that was an ugly ass win, sorry it just was.

I was watching the game at home with my wife. I tried explaining to her how ridiculous 3rd and 48 is.....gave up pretty quick though.

Oh wait |

Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it.

Offensively, very ugly and that shit needs sorted, but to call that defensive performance ugly is not doing it justice. |

Unlike the Raiders players? We had Pryor's.

Glorious Facts:
1-10-50 (7:26) (Shotgun) T.Pryor pass incomplete short right to R.Streater [J.Houston]. PENALTY on OAK-L.Mady, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at 50 - No Play. 1-20-OAK 40 (7:20) T.Pryor sacked at OAK 28 for -12 yards (T.Hali). 2-32-OAK 28 (7:20) (Shotgun) PENALTY on OAK-T.Pryor, Delay of Game, 5 yards, enforced at OAK 28 - No Play. 2-37-OAK 23 (6:22) (Shotgun) T.Pryor sacked at OAK 12 for -11 yards (E.Berry). 3-48-OAK 12 (5:42) (Shotgun) T.Pryor pass incomplete short middle to M.Reece (A.Bailey). |
In one of the Packers' books - Instant Replay or Run to Daylight - they relayed a story about a drive in Green Bay. Back then, they had 15-yard penalties for some offenses, and Green Bay had three consecutive penalties for 15, 15, and 10 yards. They ended up with a 3rd and 50 and Bart Starr didn't know what to call. He looked over at Lombardi for help and Lombardi just shrugged. I thought it was funny.
