Banshee

New show on Cinemax. Airs Sundays at 8 pm Central.

Basically it's a show about a thief that is fresh out of prison that steals the identity of an incoming sheriff to the town of Banshee, PA after he is killed stopping a robbery. Has the feel somewhat of Justified, only grittier and dirtier, except everyone in the show can be labeled a "bad guy". The pilot wasn't terrible. Worth watching to see where it goes.

You know it must be good if Zane's Sex Chronicles is getting bumped out!

Anybody been watching this?

I know that reality needs to be suspended to certain degrees with all TV shows, but this one may just take the cake. There is no way Hood wouldn't have been arrested and/or killed for the shit he's pulled in office so far, especially considering how he destroyed that MMA fighter. It's a fun enough show, but it really pushes the envelope in taking the audience for granted.

The frequent banging of the Amish bitch is also amusing.

The more I think about this show, the more absurd it is. It's all about gratuitous sex and violence. For example, sex wise, in the first few episodes:

• Town Boss Bad Guy get BJ from black chick in an Amish hat.

• Fake Sheriff bones Town Boss Bad Guy's niece twice....once in a bar basement, once in a bedroom over the top of the bar.

• Fake Sheriff bones wife of a guy he shot down at a pool party.

• Fake Sheriff's ex girlfriend bones the county D.A.

• Ex-Girlfriend's daughter gets molested at a Barn Rave party.

• Sheriff's Ex-Girlfriend touches herself inappropriately in the bathtub.

• Visiting Casino Kickboxing champ rapes the shit out of a bar waitress.

And that's all in about four episodes.
Little much, dontcha think?

Clay and Nola are going to work some shit out in the next episode.

I really like this show. And I'd eat corn out of the Amish niece's ass.

I ****ing love this show. It is way over the top and completely stupid, but god damn is it fun. And I would let Lili Simmons ruin my marriage.

RIP
Spoiler!

Sure you were never Native American, but you put on some spray tan and a beaded necklace and you rocked your non heritage. LOL. She went out like a man and Burton makes me squirm in my seat when ever he is on screen.

Eliza Dushku Joins Cinemax’s ‘Banshee’

The Cinemax drama has been busy ramping up its cast lately, and now comes word that Eliza Dushku is joining Banshee. The drama series from Alan Ball centers on Lucas Hood (Antony Starr), an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, PA, where he continues his criminal pursuits while enforcing his own code of justice. Dushku will recur as Agent Veronica Dawson, a tough, sexy and shockingly reckless FBI profiler with no shortage of personal demons who joins forces with Hood to hunt down a killer.

It's a total suspension of disbelief show. It's light reading. Entertaining but certainly not a documentary.
