It's the same...Missouri is "Pretty Good".

But in the end they ended up like most thought in the beginning of the season. 5th or 6th best team in the SEC.

After finishing 5th in the SEC they embark on a critical mission to beat the Big 12 #3 Okie State. Win and they can claim that spot, but lose and they essentially get 4th in the Big 12. Huge stakes

Thought you guys had a chance for the same this year. Oh well

6 bowl wins in school history = "some lean years"

That's 5th right there.

But it's what they were picked to finish in the beginning of the year so it was definitely a good year.

We made the SEC title game. We came in second. You can rationalize it any way you want, however.

Their make believe world is more forgiving of Kansas's failures than reality is.

I've never seen a fan of a school use Sagarin not as a tool to help enhance his own schools' standing, but rather as a tool to bring other schools down to his level.

It's pretty fascinating, really.

Are you mad that the SEC let you slide to the 5th bowl slot?

I really don't think I could care less what your interpretation of the SEC's bowl slotting is.

And besides, didn't Saul blow up this "5th Bowl Slot" shit earlier anyway?

Puds.

I don't know what Saul has ever "blown up" on here other than basic logic. But I'm asking you so don't rely on him. If its clear MU finished 2nd why didn't they get the 2nd bowl slot?

Bambi 12-20-2013 12:58 PM

Why isn't Mizzou playing in the BCS if they are the 2nd place team in the SEC?

I'm confused by this process.

I didn't want the Cotton Bowl, no, so that's disappointing but I'll take it. In the long run it may just help out seeing as how Pinkel has always been a strong recruiter in Texas.

Maybe Saban told Alabama and the SEC he would jump ship if they didn't cater to his wishes? It's all speculation on our parts. You'll have to e-mail the SEC offices to find the real answer I suppose. I also suppose you might have already done this as obsessed as you are with all things Mizzou.

It's 2007 all over again for Mizzou, apparently.

That was me.

He doesn't care. He lives in his own world.
