Yea, I suspect the Disney girls gone bad angle will open some eyes.

I highly doubt it. But we'll see. Granted I haven't watched that much of his work... but this director is known for doing extremely abstract and bizarre movies.

i just watched it and liked it. most people won't though, which is true for most of his stuff.

I saw this. Thought it could have been so much better. Which is typically the case with Harmony's work.

Riff Raff claims he was supposed to be in the movie n what not lol riff Raff is a trip but he's getting paid lol.

terrible movie.

A top 10 film of the year. Narratively flawed, but wonderful.

Selena Gomez just doesn't do it for me. She looks like she's 14 years old. But yeah the movie sucked ass.

Not as bad as it was made out to be. I really enjoyed the pop music soundtrack to truly horrible events. The only thing I did not like was the ending.

it was different than i expected, in a positive way...way more melancholy, but languid in a way that i've always enjoyed from Korine

i can still hear franco repeating "spraang break...spraaaang break"

i loved the saturated, neon light everything was bathed in...i got the sense that everything was over before it even began just from the lighting

that's as close to normative film making as i want him to get...any more plot-y and the basically non-existent motivations would have become an issue (for me)

also, the scene where the truck circles the diner as they rob it was a gem

a tangent, but i just saw God Only Forgives, and it's a real piece of shit compared to this, imo, just as basic film making...it tries to do something similar with lighting and tempo as the focus (but more severe, of course) and really put me off
