BBCA: "The Hour"

I hadn't heard about this until about 30 seconds ago, but I'm gonna toss it on my DVR for tonight...

Reception was lukewarm overseas, but the US critical reception seems to be very positive.

It's pretty excellent so long as things pan out in the final episode.

Really liked the first episode.

Although "Dramaville" is about the worst name of a programming block I've ever heard. Even Idris Elba can't sell that.

Gotta say, all-in-all I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed that. Mixed reviews from the UK, and I'm not (at all) a fan of history or period drama, but that was a quality six hours.

Next week season 2 of Luther begins. Really enjoyed season 1, but mixed reviews there as well.

So, I just watched the entire second season of The Hour in one afternoon, and all I can say is wow. Great show.

I just finished the season and also thought it was great. Like last season it really built up well each episode and the final one was pretty outstanding.
