Its been 19 years since our last 10-game winning streak, and we are going for #10 with.... Davis. And Butler is relegated to ph duty.

Gee is a RHP, so I'm not sure why he'd be in the lineup. But Ned marches to his own beat

I'd love to see us start making up games on the teams in front of us, but I'm still more interested in how we're playing. If we keep playing at a high level, the other teams will come back to us.

I just don't understand why Davis isn't in the pen. There's no reason to keep trotting him out there as a stater. When does Duffy come back? What's the definition of insanity again....doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting different results? That's the same kind shit that kept Frenchy a Royal much longer than he really needed to be. I hope to God we can keep this up. I've been waiting for October baseball for a long ****ing time in KC, hated always having to watch ****ing STL.

I'm nervous about Davis, too. But he did pitch much better against the White Sox in his last outing.

What's encouraging is that we have three good options at AAA (Duffy, Ventura, and Dwyer) should Davis soil himself again.

That's because it was the White Sox. They've scored less runs than than the Royals pedestrian offense... and have played more games.

I'm going to optimistically say, that one thing Wade Davies may have going for him tonight is the Mets haven't seen him before, or seen him in a very long time. So he may be able to sneak past their order at least once before they get onto him. Hopefully our guys can scratch out a run or two before that happens.

Can Billy pitch? That way he can hit, too.

Should be the same approach as last time out for Davies. At the very slightest suggestion of trouble, Mendoza needs to get out.

If Yost doesn't do this, he's clueless.

Tring to figure out the difference between Mendoza and Kyle Davies is, lately.

Mendoza has indeed been shitty, but he's been dog shit to Davies' cat shit.

Really, it's time for Duffy.

I seriously doubt Moore will pull the trigger on Davies without 2 or 3 more bad starts. If anything, he will pull Chen the first time he gives up more than 2 runs.

I guarantee if someone asked Moore why Duffy is still in the minors, he would say “we are lucky enough to not need him right now, all of our starters have been great”.

Not trying to be a Yost apologist, but Tejeda is probably going to need a day off every once in a while. He is 39.

Hopefully the Royals' advance team turned the visiting clubhouse into an exact replica of the Trop so Eliot Johnson can do SOMETHING this game. He's just been awful at the plate.

How many plays on average is the RF involved in? 3? 4? 5? 2 or 3 of them are probably base hits, 1 or 2 might be a routine fly ball, and then 1 might take athleticism to make.

Wouldn't it be worth it to get 4 Billy Butler at bats opposed to risking the 1-2 defensive liabilities?

Maybe not, or maybe Hosmer could go there and be fine, although I prefer not to disrupt 2 positions instead of just 1.

I suppose this is just the fatass DH tax we have to pay.
