Resident Evil: Retribution was on TV today and i caught the last 30 seconds of it.

I've only seen the first two movies, so this seemed a bit different. Were those dragons? ROFL. It looked like a shitty video game.

The Resident Evil movies are shit. All of them. Why? Because of Milla Jovovich, at least her character. Why would you create a superhuman character that was never in the original games, to be the lead in the movies? Her very presence undermines the source material and at the same time her excessive screen time makes other heroes that were actually in the franchise look like red shirts on Star Trek. If they would've made her Jill Valentine in the first movie, instead of that annoyingly terrible made up plot of her remembering who she was, then the story would've been alot better. I liked the first movie, and was okay with Alice in that movie, but every movie since then has just been one action cliche after another where the plot goes nowhere. The fact that Jill and Chris don't even know each other in the movies, is bullshit enough. I hate it when hollywood shits on source material.

I liked the first one for the most part.

I like all of the Resident Evil movies, probably because I never played the games and therefore I have no expectations regarding the movies. To me it's just mindless entertainment full of zombies and lots of scenes where Milla Jovovich is looking hot while kicking zombie ass.

This for me too. I know they are terrible movies but I still enjoy them and have watched them multiple times (except for the last one, which I haven't seen yet). Total popcorn flicks.

They're a guilty pleasure for me. They have gotten progressively worse from the start, and I know going in it's going to suck. But I still watch.

It's hard to believe Milla Jovovich can look so hot in the Resident Evil movies and yet so ordinary in other movies.

She was hot as **** in "The Fifth Element."

Yes. I still have to watch them. I can't resist. I guess I'm just a masochist.

Re1 was decent. Poop ever since.

Directors probably look back now after walking dead and are like yeah my bad.

None of the movies excite me. Not even the first one. I feel like the entire series is disappointing.
