iPhone 4s with iOS7 question

Is there a way to set certain people to not make a sound when they text or call? Only vibrate? I need this feature for when I am on call so the only calls or texts I receive are from work only.

I know I can block callers but then their texts and calls won't even arrive which isn't a good way to do it.

From what I have seen so far I can't assign individuals to no sound at all. I have to choose a ring or tone no matter what.

I use do not disturb mode.

can you do that for individual contacts?

Make a custom ringtone that's just silence. Assign that ringtone to people you don't want to hear.

No, but you can set certain numbers so that they will always come through.

I've been trying to do that but for some reason itunes won't let me add it to the library for tones. Hell, it won't let me add it to the library period.

Did you change the extension to m4r?

Its almost like it is ignoring the file because it is so small.

Or you could learn how to use the feature that was built for the very thing you're looking to accomplish. that was suggested in the first reply.

Problem solved.

The feature Saul suggested wouldn't work well for what I am using it for because I don't have or know the numbers of all the people that could potentially call me. Only a few people have my actual work number and they are the only ones I need the silent ringtone for.
