Intrigued, but already way behind on a lot of stuff I'm fairly sure I'll enjoy [still 2 seasons behind on OitNB and Ray Donovan for instance].

Same boat here, haven't gotten to Marco Polo S2 yet either. Got sidetracked by Happy-ish which I absolutely love. Hope Netflix considers picking it up for a second season. Probably pretty cheap compared to their other shows.

Two episodes in so far and promising start. Early reviews seem very positive.

Went with HarmonQuest instead. Not regretting it yet. Funny, light, breezy, silly. Just an all around blast.

It sucks that there are only 8 episodes. That is my only real complaint. You definitely feel the Spielberg and Carpenter influence in this show.

Thought about starting it, got waylaid binging this new reality show called Cop Shootout USA. Today's episode live from Baton Rouge.

Clever show. IT's set in the 80's. Has an 80's style score (very synth). Even the intro is done in 80's style graphics.

Combine that with 8 episodes = 8 hours and it reminds me of those old miniseries' from the 80's.

Very cool aesthetic.

Plus, a few of the kids do a really good job, and kids generally suck at acting.

Yea. Love the retro score. It does feel like a miniseries from the 80s. But there are a lot of influences. Spielberg, Carpenter, etc.

This was freaking outstanding and made me miss 1983 in a huge way.

Up to episode 6. They nailed it. Reminds me of being blindsided by Mr robot last summer. A month and a half ago I had no idea this even existed.

Lots of influences, but totally original. Nice to see in this era of remakes and 'reimaginings' that we're currently in.

Yeah, the number of classic horror posters that pop up in the backgrond caught my attention.

Read this when you're done. Season 2 won't be an anthology, it will continue the story. Love it.

I blasted through all 8 episodes in one day. I'm on vacation........

Pretty bad ass. A few confusing moments and clunky writing here and there. But the kid actors/actresses have been great so far. Love how they've nailed the 80's theme. Can't wait to see where they take this...

On episode 6. Holy crap, now I see 'Altered states' influences. The old trippy William hurt LSD flick. Awesome stuff!

There's some colorful language at times and little ones might find the monster scary.

Don't say that, I'm caught up on Night of and am admiring but not overwhelmed. It's a competent procedural, but sad to hear that Stranger Things is lesser.

PG-13 probably. I'm only 3 episodes in but it's really good.

The wife and I started watching this and binge-watched it for a week...really liked it.

Kids should be scared once in a while. Poltergeist screwed me up royally. I would never give up that experience. I saw Jaws when I was five though, that...that I don't recommend. I wouldn't even go near my older brother's waterbed.

In hindsight that was probably a good idea.

I binged it in 2 nights last weekend. Completely wasn't expecting how much I'd enjoy it Particularity for something that just popped up on Netfix that Friday that I had vaguely heard about a few days earlier.

On episode 4 now. Little things in this really have the time period just spot on - like Trapper Keepers at school. Freakin' awesome.

I watched the first episode. It held my attention. It was giving me early 80's flashbacks but I'll keep watching.

Thank you for not beating me up - I believe you and will totally watch the other 5. Look I really like A LOT about it. But I'm not grasping the story - at least as much as the others. It'll come I'd imagine - I'll fire it up again this week. I'm currently watching Pet Sematary. ROFL

I'm also surprised that you would say "lack of story." In my opinion there are multiple good story threads running through the show so far and I just finished episode four. It has a Fringe/X-Files feel to it for me which is kind of fun in the early 80's setting. So many 80's references in there that you can't really list them all. And I did chuckle when MKULTRA popped up on that microfiche screen.

Love this show so far. Just finished episode 6 last night, will finish the season tonight. I had to fight with my wife to get her to watch it, but now she's hooked.

Once I got onto the middle episodes, I couldn't stop. I ended up staying up way later than I normally do because they kept ending episodes on cliffhangers. I watched ep. 1 on one night, then binged the rest of the series on the second.

I think they missed a few. I mentioned it earlier but the water tank stuff is an homage to a William Hurt movie called 'Altered States'. Freaky movie.

I'm only on episode 7/8, so if it's a spoiler please put the answer in spoiler tags, but is there any special significance to the fact that several characters keep repeating iterations of the phrase 'I'm right here with you'?
