Well, here goes my "cool guy cred", which I had amassed over years of quality posts:

I really like Rick Steves' Europe. Yup, the fanny-packed man himself, with his hand-drawn maps and money belts, hosts one of my favorite shows on television.

Other than that, Top Gear, The Life/Planet Earth series, and that's about it.

Reality TV is mind-numbingly awful. Duck Dynasty is the closest I've come to enjoying a show, and that's because the producers hit a gold mine with those guys' personalities. I still won't watch it unless absolutely nothing else is on, there are no chores to be done, and it's snowing outside.

A few years ago there was a show called Three Sheets. This guy traveled around the world drinking, learning the cultures and then their hangover cures. I think you can still find it on Hulu.

If we're loosening the parameters to scripted 'unscripted' shows, I gotta put a word in for BBC's Top Gear. Pure gearhead porn with a healthy sense of humor. Dave Attel used to have a show on Comedy Central about 10 years ago called 'Insomniac' that was pretty effin' funny. He used to drink his face off nearly every episode. That was probably my favorite non-scripted show ever.
