Let's get back sole possession tonight.

continuing from the last repository,

The whole 60-day DL thing might somehow give us the ability to make someone postseason eligible after tonight (who knows since we don't know what rule 40 says anymore), but I still think we'd have to pick 25 guys before each series. We're not gonna be in a situation where we get to have more players than our opponent.

Today, I don't care about the Tigers. I just want our guys to be less reeruned at the plate with RISP

So in layman's terms what does this mean for the playoff roster? If they bring up Finnegan, Binford & Zimmer tomorrow are they eligible for the playoffs?

The team will still have to designate 25 players from the 40 man roster for each playoff series. If those 3 guys get called up, they'll be eligible to be on that list of 25, but they won't automatically be on the list.

According to McCullough, the Royals do plan to execute some 40-man roster shenanigans right after the game and before the deadline. They aren't saying exactly what they are doing yet.

I have to keep telling myself this:
Baseball is a game of streaks, winning and losing. We HAVE to have known that all this winning wouldn't come without a slump (just ask Detroit). I'd much rather the Royals slump now than three weeks from now.

Yeah, Det has been in about a three month slump. That said we have to win tonight because Cleve is gaining fast
